Very interesting topic. Can you show how to model a submersible pump supplying to reservoir then to the water network. Thanks a lot.

How to increase head dicharge in pump? I have problem in that
@bentleyopenflowsАй бұрын
The pump operating point (head and flow) is the point where the pump characteristic curve intersects with the system head curve. If there is downstream storage and you cannot change the pump curve, increasing the pump head can be done by decreasing demands, decreasing pipe friction loss, adding a pressure sustaining valve (PSV) or increasing the upstream hydraulic grade. While defining pump curve, How should we calculate the head against the max operating flow and the max operating flow? .As we know the design flow and shut off head as we can calculate it..

Engr. Bilal I am not sure I clearly understand your question. Can you please re-state it as a post on our Forum? communities.bentley.com/products/hydraulics___hydrology/f/haestad-hydraulics-and-hydrology-forum

From where prepare the pump definitions information
@bentleyopenflows11 ай бұрын
Can you elaborate on what you are asking for? In general, the pump definition information is entered in the pump definition manager in WaterCAD and WaterGEMS, then you would select the pump definition in the properties of the pump node element. If you are asking how to get the pump definition information (like head vs. flow curve, efficiency, etc), this would typically come from manufacturer specification sheets, or derived from field measurements. I have question, As we run pump normally for 8 hr in 24 hours to fill over head water, So how will we calculate or having option of 8hr in pump section..
@bentleyopenflows3 жыл бұрын
Hello Engr. Bilal, typically pump controls are based on tank level. You can also model time-based controls to turn on the pump for a certain 8-hour duration during the day.
