The reason it sounds nice is cause hes using a keyboard preset, mid to high octave with spacey reverb on it giving the atmosphere. In reality it would really sound like a harry potter mandrake, instead of constant screams it would be random scream taps.

If you put both electrodes in water, they might make a signal for a second or so because it’s going from no conductivity to connection. But it won’t be continuously generating, unless you were to move the electrodes or if there were other factors involved like currents.
