I remember when you would give your neighbors all the extra food you grew just from your home gardens. What's Barb going to do when you bring her a truck load of vegetables!? 🤣🤣

Afternoon Doc..I am near Camp Pendleton in Southern California. We have had basically NO rain for a couple of years. Mandatory water rationing has started. Landscape watering only once a week. Except trees. My lawn is done for. Just when I got it looking great after watching your videos.

Thank you so much for teaching me how to do the watering I have noticed that my Bermuda grass does not seem to require a whole lots of deep soak ink watering your idea of only doing like 10 minutes or so a day in certain spots will help me out tremendously thank you so much doc

What about longer watering for us in the desert? It stays 95+ with very minimal rain.

Talk about watering difficulties, watering a lawn on a slope in a drought. The water just wants to roll right down before soaking in. Definitely have to water a little at a time.

Unfortunately we are already into water restrictions, once a week, and the mid 90s. Going to be a long summer.

My last property had zoysia and the soil did not like holding water. After 10min or so the water would run off so I did the same thing you did; run more frequent waterings at less time. I would water to the point of run off and then shut off. After that run off, it was just wasting water. Some hydratain (liquid) help though. I think it has a surfactant in it that helps water penetrate better. The loads of anderson's biochar seemed to help too.

Hey Doc, any advice for AZ lawn watering? In a constant drought, so is scheduled watering cycle more appropriate?

I am letting mine burn up. There is a major water crisis so it's not worth it to have slightly greener grass than my neighbors for me personally.

Doc, what is the difference in Greenshocker and Deep Green from The Anderson’s??

Hey doc got a question why is some of my Bermuda grass bright green? The rest of my grass is deep green. It is newer sod.

It's usually do to something in the soil. We have the same thing. It could also be fungus related but ours goes away

So what about places like Utah that is in a extreme drought. Like our city is saying we can only water 20 minutes once a week.

Good timing Doc especially for us in Florida,but I’m afraid California is beyond this. Those guys are in big trouble!!!

Why is my grass seed 51% inert matter?
@johnhamilton92292 жыл бұрын
Smart call keeping mulch on site. If the seeds along the road don’t work, some mulch along your stone driveway would look nice. A test batch of dirt booster mixed with 1 yard of mulch might prove interesting 🤔. Thanks doc

I know you said it's spring fed , but can you see the pond level drop after running the sprinklers and then refilling overnight? Or you can't notice any level changes?

I installed a Netro controller last year with a couple of lawn sensors and I let it water my yard automatically. It knows when rain is in the forecast and will adjust the cycles accordingly. It takes the moisture readings from the sensors and basically spoon feeds as needed. I see no increase in my water bill and have a green yard all year.

what if you live in a location where you are only allowed to water 2 times a week? for my self I can only water on Mondays and Thursdays
@Frankollino2 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, city ordinances don't allow for this type of watering, even though you would be using LESS water than someone who sticks to the ordinance schedule, but waters for hours at a time!
