Imo, Izzie's death was the most tragic of all the deaths in Waterloo Road. Just everything about it was depressing; the music, the setting, the fact she never got to say goodbye to her family and that she died trying to protect Jack. 😢 At least characters like Lorna, Maxine, Sam, Grantly, etc, got to be around people they loved when they died. Izzie was just in the wrong place at the wrong time and her last moment with her daughters was during a heated argument. That scene was honestly the most powerful and memorable scene for me in all of Waterloo Road. 💔

Rin Evans Satan does hide in all places. In series 1 and 2 he hid inside Lewis Seddon. In the first half of Series 4 he hid inside Earl Kelly. In series 5 and 6 Satan hid inside Amy Porter. Towards the end of Amy's time in Waterloo Road and in the first half of Series 7 Amy Porter's evil ways gradually went out of the window.

Jill Halfpenny's niece appeared in Emmerdale as Amy Wyatt. Amy stayed with Val. Val was a second mother to Amy. Val and Amy had one thing in common. They followed suit with Eric Burden of the Animals, which means they were both born and bred in Newcastle. In Emmerdale Val treated Amy much better than Audrey has been treating Maria in Corrie lately. It turned out that Audrey sold Maria down the river, and that bigoted bitch Abbie pointed the finger of scorn at Maria for trying to prove that she was a good hairdresser.

In this episode it will be Maxine's turn to be on the receiving end of Izzie's wrath. Mind you Izzie had a go at Steph. You can see Izzie's point in having a go at Steph Haydock at the point 26:22. Strictly speaking Izzie had the right idea. Steph took on the role of being Maxine's surrogate mother so Steph should have to accept the rough side of what goes with it. That is take responsibility if Maxine misbehaves in such a way that causes problems to others.

What a unhappy ending for Izzy. I did like Izzy, but I can't help thinking that the only difference between Ivy Tilsley in Coronation Street is that Ivy was born 43 years earlier. Izzy was opposed to Chloe having a romantic relationship with Donte. I suspect that if Izzie did have a son and her son called Gary had Maxine as a boy-friend Izzy Redpath would have objected to the relationship because Maxine been excluded for stealing. I am not knocking Izzy. Every mother wants their own level of standards for their kids.
