It does actually. Winter in England can drop below 0 degrees, I think this year it's coldest point was -15 or something like that, so when you think water freezes to ice at 0, imagine how cold it is at - degrees. Very cold. If you are out in the cold for too long you can catch hyperthermia. Your body basically freezes and cuts off blood flow through your body. You will literally freeze and be imobilzed. You couldn't move, speak, think, you would freeze.

@questionmark1996 im guessin you only started watchin waterloo road this series? In all the series b4 this (1-4) when someone is say.. like i dunno, bein rude, or got in2 a fight, behavin aggresively, n jus talkin in class etc, the teachers would go "COOLER- NOW" , its a room where they went jus 2 "cool off" really, and then a teacher or some1 would go and talk 2 them and punish them or whatever needs 2 be done :)
