I have a 6&3yr old, Where is the best place to grab a table in Galveston or does it matter? Can you wear hats Down the rides? I also can’t find the spot on the site that tells what rides are closed.

We like to set up right inside the entrance by the wave pool entrance, under the cover. Yes to hats. The operating calendar will tell you which sections are open. They're not great about sharing daily ride operations beyond the board as you walk in. It mostly depends on staffing. www.schlitterbahn.com/galveston/schedule

What area would you get a cabana?

For Galveston, I think the Lagoon Luxe cabanas are the most central location. For New Braunfels, the Blastenhoff Premium is in the East section. For the West Section, none of the Cabahnas are very convenient but Wunderbahna is the best. For seclusion check out the beach cabanas at Galveston and the Riverbend in New Braunfels. Hope that helps!
