For one thing, this isn’t Waterparks; this is Awsten Knight. Otto and Geoff aren’t doing anything on this song. And even Awsten sounds bored. I wanted to listen to a band, not a man speaking emotionlessly into a mic; I can get the latter anywhere. I do kinda like the melody though. I’m not bitter, I’m just a little disappointed. @@FabulousKilljoy sounds like something their labelmate Dying in Designer would put out. But I can't say I'm surprised by the direction of this song. Waterparks are, first and foremost, a pop act. At this point, the term boy band is starting to become more fitting for them. The way I see it, as a pop song, it's decent. There's definitely much to improve on, but it's not an abomination like what some people are probably thinking. I'd give it a light 2.5/5, maybe even a 3. If it were from, say, State Champs, I would have a totally different opinion, but this is Waterparks, so I can't really be shocked.
