The soles are ok but : outdry does NOT work, I bought the new peak freak shoes last year and found that water seeps in quickly from the front mesh. I raised a complaint that took 2 months to get through and then I got a replacement AND today it rained here in Germany and I once more found lots of moisture in my shoes all around the toes .... I hate it when big companies make a fool out of customers .... Better stay with goretex

Second thought: I think this lack of quality i.e. no water proofing is maybe only here in the EU cos in the US people seem satisfied with the new peak freak
