Type of Waterproofing System:
Polyurea Coating (Tecnocoat H2049/Dr. Fixit Polyurea/Elastothane Coating) and CFTRI approved epoxy Resin
coating over the Polyurea.
#Materials.
1. Tecnocoat H-2049/ Dr. Fixit Polyurea/Elastothane: Spray applied two component instant setting system.
2. Dr. Fixit Superseal P100/Cipoxy 16D/Primer PU-1000/Equivalent: Epoxy Primer.
3. Dr. Fixit Dampguard: Two component epoxy resin.
4. Cement, sand and aggregates.
5. Dr. Fixit Pidiproof LW+: Integral Waterproofing Compound.
6. Dr. Fixit Pidicrete AM/Cebex 100: cementitious, expanding, non-shrink grout.
7. Dr. Fixit Pidigrout 10M: cementitious grout.
8. Dr. Fixit Samshield Tape: Specially formulated SBS modified double sided tape.
#Tools and Machineries:
1. Grouting pump
2. Drilling machine
3. Chisel and hammer.
4. Wire brush, cleaning brush, gloves, bucket, paint brush, PVC nipples etc.
5. Two component spray equipment with accessories (Graco XP2).
Surface preparation (civil contractor scope)
1. Initial cleaning the surface.
2. The area water proofing should be protected with proper barricades.
3. The entire area shall be taken up for thorough surface preparation and mechanical removal of debris, laitance,
protrusions, etc.
4. Removing PVC pipe from tie rod holes and sealing tie rod holes and cutting of reinforcement
5. Honeycomb treatment.
#procedure step by step :
1. Final cleaning the surface with coir/wire brush.
2. Any pipes or openings/protrusions shall be provided prior to taking up the surface preparation.
3. All bore/core packing:
a.) Pipes to be placed/inserted in the core cut areas, shall be aligned properly prior to bore packing
b.) Cleaning/Roughening the inside surface of the bore hole.
c.) Pipes to be inserted in the core cut areas with effective leak-free shuttering system.
d.) The inserted pipe appropriately to be wrapped with Dr. Fixit Samshield Tape and grouted, around the
cut bores with Dr. Fixit Pidigrout 10M (Gap between the pipe & slab is less than 5mm should be grouted with Dr. Fixit Pidigrout 10 M if it is more than 5mm should be grouted with Dr. Fixit Pidigrout
10 M using 6mm down grade course aggregate @ 40% of total volume).
4. Removing the PVC pipe from tie rod hole and filling the same with CM 1:1 admix with waterproofing compound, CEBEX 100.
5. Plugging the tie rod hole for a width of 20mm using non shrink grout, Dr. Fixit Pidigrout 10M (the water addition for 50 kg of Dr. Fixit Pidigrout 10M at 27oC should be approximately 6.5 to 7.0 litres for dry &
trowelable consistency).
6. Making “ V” grove (25mm x 25mm) at all the construction joints.
7. Injection grouting (cementitious grouting) at construction joints @ 1meter C/C, after fixing the PVC nipples
and 40PSI grout pump using cement slurry mixed with non-shrink admixture Pidicrete AM/Cebex 100
@225gms per bag of cement.
8. Filling the grove with cement sand mortar 1:4 admixed with of Dr. Fixit Pidiproof LW+ @ 200ml per 50 kg
bag of cement.
9. Ponding test shall be carried for 24 hours.
10. Leaking points found if any, to be pressure grouted after fixing the PVC nipples and 40PSI grout pump using
cement slurry mixed with non-shrink admixture Dr. Fixit Pidicrete AM Cebex 100 @225gms per bag of
cement.
11. Removing the water and final cleaning the surface.
12. Providing & laying of angle fillets (50mm x 50mm) at the junction of slab & vertical walls prepared with
cement sand mortar 1:4 admixed with Dr. Fixit Pidiproof LW+ @ 200 ml per 50 kg bag of cement.
13. Priming the surface with solvent based epoxy primer, Dr. Fixit Superseal P100/Cipoxy 16D/Primer PU1000 or
Equivalent @ 150 Gms/Sqm.( the base & hardener components should be mixed separately in their individual
packs.
the entire content of the Part-B (hardener) should be poured into the Part-A (base) & thoroughly mixed
using a slow speed stirrer / drill with mixing paddle for 2-3 minutes. the sides of the tin should then be scraped
& mixing should continue for further 2 minutes)
14. Allow the primer to dry for 2 to 3 hours before commencing to further finish coats.
15. Over the primed surface, spraying with fast setting seamless spray applied Tecnocoat H-2049/Dr. Fixit
Polyurea/Elastothane @ 1.2Kg/Sqm to achieve an average DFT of 1.2mm.
16. The coating shall be done on the entire horizontal surface and vertical surface up to the wall level.
17. Applying two coats of epoxy resin Dr. Fixit Dampguard @100-125gms /M2/coat.
18. Note: Water can be filled after 7 days.
