TheHandymanToolbox I will. Can you give me some advice on my door ? Do you have an email address I can send photos to ? Looks like part of the weather strip is missing and then the end of the door is showing a big hole were all the water gets in. Not sure exactly how to fix it.

Yes, it worked like a charm! One has to take care of proper water shedding away from the home, especially the doorway. Make sure all of your gutters are cleaned annually, that the downspouts are pointed away from the house...even attack french ditch tubing that attached to the bottom of downspouts. Get the water away from the doors and foundations! " )

I heard that foam deteriorates to the sun, should we put a cover on it on exterior application?

Hi SD... you can do so oto give it added protection...realize this, the law of thermodynamics says, "all things eventually will breakdown." Now adding an additional coat of protection always prolongs that fact! Please subscribe and be one of the first to see my new videos!

what did you do to seal between the threshold and the door. Wasn't that also part of the problem? Looks like there's no bottom sill. I ask, because I have the same situation. No door sill, just a threshold attached to the asphalt.

Hi John Lanou...yes, the door had a rubber seal underneath. There are some different kinds of door seals you can purchase at any hardware store. Please like, comment and subscribe. Join us on Tuesdays at 8 PM ESY for the DIY Home Improvement Tips & Solutions Show!
