I feel like the marketing team lately had a massive shift in the right direction, even the photos they're posting on their instagram are much higher quality.

@@PPAtour Awesome to hear! It's so nice being able to catch the games the next day that I missed, It was such a bummer to have to wait weeks to watch a match. I don't know if you guys got a new team of photographers but the photos on instagram look so clean now!

If guys got them out same day I know your viewership would go way up. Look at the way NBA or NFL does 10 min recaps of the games 2 hours after they finish. They get TONS of views this way.its on your mind and you immediately watch to watch it to stay up to date. And I am wayyy less likely to even watch if it’s 24 hours later. I’ll just look up the score if I see the video is over 24 hours.

Iggy is like a super good banger, he can dominate the team but also made wayyyy too many mistakes, mostly into the net. You win by the wrist flick and you can easily lose by it too

ALW is only 6 titles away from reaching 100 titles on the PPA Tour which will be remarkable and history making for a 17 year old. She has earned it because she has that never say die attitude, when she is in trouble she never gets down on herself she remains positive and upbeat. And i think people need to give her a lot more credit for what she has done for the PPA Tour and for the sport of pickleball. She will be a hall of famer one day and when the day comes when she reaches 100 titles it is going to be an incredible story.

A/J team needs a coach. They should have tried harder to go to AL more to let her beat them. It might be a more competitive game even though the outcome would not have been changed.

James just goes on tilt every championship Sunday after game one. Every week they play close first game and then fall apart so strange. He’s an experienced tennis player you know he can fix it but he’s too momentum dependent right now
@fencebb1466

I think that’s one of the overlooked aspects of ALW and John’s their ability to reset their mindset when games start slipping from mistakes or luck. Sure they make less mistakes but in games they do they somehow lock it in and don’t tilt

@@jeremysmith9694 Ya and the reason is because they are WAY more consistent. Johns has said repeatedly its a game of errors. Sure you can take a game or two off them by getting hot. But can you get and stay hot the entire match? The only ones who could do that semi successfully were Wright/Newman and in the end it was obvious they were never going to overcome consistent Johns, which is probably why the most successful team in history against them ended up disbanding
@jeremysmith9694

@@chea7z913 I think Newman's a baby. He's too hot headed and emotional. Actually wright kind of is too. Notice how Johns is cool as a cucumber. He's the most relaxed on the court. Until someone plays him with a similar level headedness I don't think they'll beat him. It's mental.

@@jeremysmith9694 Yes it absolutely is. Strategy is all mental. Funny thing was they had the tools to beat Johns too, all they had to do was pick their spots better...

Had to stop watching halfway though this is so one sided. I think Bright can pull her weight against Waters much better than James can against Ben. I love his backhands and even Ben is trying to copy it, but man the gap is just too far I guess

It’s true that when the #1 men’s player joins the #1 women’s player, mixed doubles results are likely to be lopsided. Other players will need to catch up, as the men already seem to be doing to Ben. But boring? Not to me.

Pathetic to watch, I guess to make Pickleball attractive to watch on TV , Waters and Johns need to split up or play left handed. Pretty sad that this was the best competition they could find.

in pro matches like this with the level of skill from the women, for the love of god men, let them get ball that are all the way over on the court. sometimes Anna is almost outside the court as Ben feels he has to take EVERY forehand shot...good god

That's the dynamic that works for them, the reason they are so successful in Mixed Doubles. 50/50 mixed doubles don't work, Jorja and JW Johnson play that way and it doesn't work against a team that lets the dominant player take most of the shots.

@@MD-hk8xq how is it pure bullshit, ALW and BJ are the number 1 mixed doubles team in the world, watch a Johnson Sibling mixed doubles match and you realize the difference between them and a team that lets the dominant player who most of the time is a man plays

@@BlGSac because there are so many variables in any given game. You site one team and say it didn’t work therefore your theory is correct. It would need to be tried for a whole tournament season for starters. Play every combination of opponents, etc. even then, there are still unaccounted for variables. The bottom line is Ben missed plenty shots into the net trying to get so far over the right, when the #1 woman could have easily taken those shots. He doesn’t need to almost push her of the dam court, period.

@@MD-hk8xqI don’t think this is a men/women situation. The better partner tends to take most of the balls in same-sex doubles as well.
