So I'm hoping you could help me. I know you did this video about a yr ago but I tried this for the 1st time. I printed my image, let it dry naturally for a couple of days, put a clear coat over it so the color wouldn't blend. As soon as I try to transfer the image the color started to I don't know fade, come off on my fingers. What did I do wrong?

I am not sure why it would do that. Just make sure you are using waterslide paper. And maybe spray a couple of coats of the sealer. So sorry that happen though.

I don't understand how you managed to do this. I've tried 6 times now, and the top sheet doesn't slide off perfectly like that, its more like cling film/thin food wrap, than a sheet of plastic, and it crinkles up and folds up into a mess. I used Hayes paper and plastikote clear super spray. 3 coats of spray all left for an hour or two in between. It's impossible!!!

The picture is gorgeous! You did a great job of designing it. I have a question though...you are using clear waterslide paper, why didn't you place it facedown and take the back off? This is the way we do it when we put images on our tumblers, the colors are still gorgeous and vibrant and you don't hinder the ink because it is not subject pressing it down and doing the squeegie technique. Just curious.

I’ve tried this a few times and I haven’t got it right yet but I’m going to keep trying especially now that I’ve watched the easier way that you did it . I’ll be honest I probably still won’t get it right . lol .. Like you said I don’t want to waste that paper because that’s expensive . 🙂

You said this was pine, but it looks awfully white for pine. Did you paint it first? Mirror your image and lay it on the other way, so much easier and you don't get all the lines.

I am using a waterslide paper. If you do not seal the ink on that paper, once dipped in water the ink will come off the paper.

Jess B no I never sealed it after it dried. And after about 12 months of it on the wood it has not peeled up yet.

When i spray my waterslide with an acrylic spray, I lose the color on my waterslide. What am I doing wrong?

Not sure why it’s doing that. Make sure you are sealing the waterslide with a clear sealer, maybe spray a couple times to get a good coat on it.

Kel Snake I have an ink jet printer. You need to make sure that you get paper for the type of printer you have or get.

Cathy Stonys when you go to print make sure you select A4 print size paper. That will fill the whole sheet.
