I have the T 18 and took it for a test run today. I was having problems with the prop keep going under my kayak. I tighten the screws by hand. I feel like I may need to use pliers to tighten the screws on the bracket that's for the disc.

You didn’t tighten the bracket properly, that’s why the motor wobbles a lot. It’s pretty smooth going motor if mounted and tightened correctly. The wooden plank you mounted the base of the bracket is not even mounted securely, what do you expect😊

My experience with this is the same. I can’t tighten the bolts enough and the screws that go into the plastic on the mount even more so.

Yeah I Brought one. It’s junk. It does the same and I tightened to the point the nuts are starting to strip out of plastic mount. So you cannot do it any tighter and it still does it. Wish there were more honest reviews like yours I could find before I brought it

Mine came with the new mount with locking gears . Mine works great . It moves my feelfree lure 11.5 real nice .

@@GillsNThrillsFishing I changed it to the pod . Cut the shaft down and left the head off . I also added a pwm controller. I put original switches on the pod incase pwm went out . kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6SreaGhlrKGeZo&feature=share8

Took mine back as the bracket is useless, swapped for 34lb transom version - well worth it!

I have one on my kayak no problems at all, you got your setup all wrong, you get a tightening tool with the bracket setup use it to tighten up brackets properly, I see multiple people complaining about the bracket setup Its more like impatience or human error , tighten 2 bottom to stop swivel , tighten 2 top to stop the lifting of motor , loosen all 4 to lift and swivel to deck when not in use , the tool to tighten is the key , don't forget to upgrade to variable speed controller is another story😃

I watched an earlier video of yours where you had the TSP18 on a Hobie in the cassette location. Have you gotten rid of the Hobie and, if not, have you used the TSP24 in that same set-up?

Motor is fine the bracket always move’s had mine for awhile now constantly trying to tighten it transite mount is your best bet I would not recommend the bracket

Mod already came partly assemble the screws missing I have to take it back to the shop

You need to bring the motor closer to the board its to far out thats why its wobbling

Can't really pinpoint the speed; too much variables. Wind, wave, load, currents and dynamic of kayak..etc.
