So glad we decided to spend a few days here while we were at Glacier. The town was great as was the hotel (and WOW.. what a WINDY area outside!!), but the best part was going horseback riding "Where the Rockies Meet the Plains."

Waterton is one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen! The town of Waterton has the perfect small town feel. You can wander up the main street, with an ice cream cone or a Beavertail and look at all the quaint shops and restaurants. The restaurants I've tried are really good too. A walk up to the Prince of Wales hotel is fun, with a neat tea service and a piano player and gift shop in the lobby.

This is a beautiful place to see. Great for those who like hiking as there are lots of great trails to follow. The lake itself is stunning.

We went there first week of August. Overall, great weather with a little rain showers on our last day.

Do NOT come here with children unless you are in a large group of many adults. There are many many many many bears here and they are often habituated and not afriad of approaching humans.
