This song to me represents how short life is and how quickly it can flash before your eyes. One second you’re a young innocent child, the next you’re old and grey. The beginning of this song is your “inception”, being born. And as the song ends it is accepting death and moving towards the light, then it’s over. This song reminds me to not take life for granted, go after everything you want and all your goals, and to appreciate every moment, for life itself, is the greatest blessing there is ❤

Hans Zimmer is a genius. The build up of the music to emphasise the slow build towards being an adult and it picking up showing that the years will fly by eventually slowing down to show old age is just immaculate. Chef kiss Hans

This has to be one of Zimmer's most brilliant scores. The fact that the whole song is based off of only four notes and yet turned out so beautiful is incredible. Similar to what he did for interstellar, Hans Zimmer did for Time what John Williams did for Jaws.

I've had the pleasure of hearing, and performing in, some orchestras. Not all orchestral music has this cinematic quality/style, but when you do go, I'd encourage you to close your eyes and imagine what kind of scene might be unfolding before you, if there were imagery with the music. IMO orchestral music is to modern songwriting as novels are to movies; here there be freedom to imagine.

I just finished watching Inception again and now that i'm older I really see how emotional the ending is. It didn't affect me as much back when I first saw the movie but now that i'm at an age where most people have kids, I felt something twinge in my heart when I saw his kids finally turn around and look at him. That was so beautiful. This song is a masterpiece and so is that movie.
