Even an Arahant to be can have so many obstacles and misfortune stacked up against him. When odds are against us we tend to think that nibbana is too far to reach, but we should not think as such, i guess. Thank you so much for animating these stories. Jataka Katha are a focal point of Theravada culture in countries like Sri Lanka, Thailand, Burma, Laos & Cambodia. They are aimed at the lay population & especially children and have a large part to play in developing a Buddhist sense of morality & ethics and delivers a sense of how Karama has a part to play across lifetimes. Rebirth is often a contentious point in modern more secular form of Buddhism often found out west. But we shouldn’t let that stifle these stories or countless mentions of rebirth in the texts because the belief in rebirth is largely held to be true in most of the traditional Buddhist world. Buddhism is also a religion at the end of the day although practitioners of the Buddha, Dharma & Sangha need not be concerned about things they cannot verify to be true in order to reap its benefits.

🎤 How much we should be grateful for not only food but whatever minor or major resources we have received till now and are receiving for our survival. On the top of that, we are getting the opportunity to listen to the Buddha's Dhamma, is it possible to really remain without expressing our Gratitude for this grace that has been showered upon us by the Universe. How compassionate are the monks of Buddha who are not less than the strong refuge given by the Buddha himself when no layman is even slightly merciful towards the destitute. And finally, so much Awareness is needed while performing even the minute of the minute Karma because we cannot escape from it's results, at all.✍️
