Losaka Jataka (Jataka #41)
In this video, Venerable Losaka becomes an arahant but still does not get enough to eat.
Wat San Fran is proud to present stories taken from the Jatakas, Dhammapada, and Buddhist history. These stories often use past rebirth stories (Jatakas) to reveal the connection between past and present, and illustrate the relationship between cause and effect.
Check out the playlist #AnimatedBuddhistStories by Wat San Fran to explore the complete series.

Thank you for uploading part 2! I see that kamma is an undeniable aspect of life, and as long as we live, we will continue to experience the results of our actions. Even if his karma wasn't good. He with his all heart and mind practiced bhuddhas teaching and also applied in his day to day life. But didn't give up bhuddhas teaching,for he knew surrendering to bhuddha will be good for him.

No arahant still feel pain feel happy of his body and mind but not attachment. Like you know and anger hate but your mind just know it not feel with it with body is cry from sense taste or pain arhant just let it go on with it no need to do anything with it.

I'm so confused about something. It seems like Venerable Losaka was like a person with so much bad luck that it also appears to affect those around him, almost like a curse. I thought in buddhism that karma is your own to repent/sow, and that there's no such thing as bad luck curses like the ones Losaka had on his family and village? Can someone please explain?
@watsanfran
@watsanfran Жыл бұрын
Being "cursed" is simply that which enables your kammic consequences to bear fruit. For Ven Losaka, being rejected and ostracized by society was necessary to ensure that he wouldn't receive any food or support, as this was exactly what he did to others in the past.
@JBHershey1234
@JBHershey1234 Жыл бұрын
@watsanfran ah, so basically it ties back to karmic consequences. I see. Thank you for clarifying 🙏

The real Cursed is not exist in the world maybe the cursed is the another form of karmic consequence . Noting is cause from no action…..
