Chorus
Don’t let my ghost drag you down
If you don’t see me around
It doesn’t mean that I fell, yeah I’m doing well
I got some roses to smell
I hope you smile when I’m gone
It means I had the strength to move on
To find another story to tell, to answer the bell
I got some roses to smell
Verse 1
when magic’s happening my habit’s been coiling up a memory and trappin it right
in the cavity of my ribs, like the doors of a cabinet might
but you won’t hold onto a shadow just by grabbing it tight
set it free and let it back in the light
never out of my heart, even when out of my sight
leaving is s'posed to be hard
Man I thought it so was selfish of people I love to keep falling out of my life
But now I know
No I don’t take it personal
If you got a really lovely place to go
I will chase my goals
yeah, to make me whole
Cause it’s urgent we love and be loved I’ve begun to scrub up with detergent to shine up my soul
Chorus
Verse 2
cause every screen the we tap is screaming that bigger is better, better is how you make yourself matter, but matter is fleeting am I living to feed a machine that I’m blind to see
no point in hiding my pride if there’s no privacy
I’ve already dedicated too much of my time to trying to get my followers up
and crying out for attention and sleeping around to mend a hollow crater inside of me
knowing well that it don’t mean shit
going to the well for another cheap dopamine hit
I’m done being a bitch to ambition, I’m already rich
I got a head that’s full of million dollar questions
and the length of it, is I don’t need the courage to work I want the strength to quit

Despite the imagery, this video wasn’t conceived as an homage to Chester Bennington-the animation was being developed well before he passed away. The demons that he was wrestling were powerful, but I think live, for some degree, in all of us. We all go through despair, self-doubt, wondering whether our efforts are worth it. I certainly have. At the very least, there’s togetherness in that. If you’re wrestling with those questions, and trying to figure out whether you want to be here, this song suite is for you. I hope you decide to stay.

I've never disliked a Watsky track. I have come to notice if you don't think a song is good by him, your just not at the right part of life for it yet. P.S. Especially since I just lost my grandfather. I have a great appreciation for Part 1, which I didn't feel the first time but now I've been looking a bit more. Spending more time with my Father and family. I'm 23 so I feel I should have felt it sooner but Thank you Watsky for saving me before it's to late.

Watsky. Don't know if you'll ever read this comment. I love your music beyond description. I've listened to X Infinity so many times since I found out about it. The first few times I just enjoyed the music, but then I REALLY started listening to the lyrics and I started to feel the lyrics. After a while, I could feel the words piercing my soul and my heart and I just cried and cried, listening to- and feeling the pain. Translating the words into feelings I've had and still have the past couple of months. I can't listen to the Lovely Thing Suite song's without having to try really hard to hold back the tears. Just the music alone is breathtaking, and the words take the rest and it just breaks me. You are so talented, and I honestly envy you with all my heart that you can put your heart, soul and mind into words with such elegance and rythm. I'm a dude and I think I'm in love with you. No homo.

One thing I’ve learned about this X Infinity album is that it’s all about the myriad of ways to try to overcome your own depression. From not being nice, to becoming an addict (sex or drugs, it doesn’t matter which), to attempting to take your own life and realising that you were better off alive… The entire album holds so much power - and I thank Watsky every day that I have had his music to see me through. Doubt I’d be here without the wisdom he’s bestowed upon us through his lyrics

This was a fantastic song and your comment as well. Also, despite the fact that free will allows us to stay or leave, what's currently subsiding in our current day society is staying. People don't stay anymore, they move. And I don't mean that they leave either, they simply search for greener grass, which is what we should all do. Then again, transforming the world around you to make your environment greener is another way to make sacrifices for you to enjoy your stay here.

WATSKY! I find myself listening to this on repeat, recalling what is feels like to be under those waters. Thinking about what family and friends might feel, and it makes me recall the ones I've lost on this journey to their own demons. The peace they longed for towards the end. The fact that your music can do this, is extraordinary. Thanks for finding a way to put such and intangible feeling into a medium the external world can experience.

my friend and I are both pretty *sad* people, and we'll often just have long chats about death and depression and suicide because we don't know how to talk about anything normal. I started listening to Watsky a couple years ago, but just this last year I introduced this friend to xInfinity, and after listening to it a couple times through, we talked about it and both agreed that he gets it. Things like suicidal thoughts and tendencies, dealing with depression and anxiety and others around you at the time, its all represented so well in the notes and the lyrics and the tempo, you can feel the emotion of it all so well and empathize and think "someone else gets it too" and its absolutely beautiful how its done. All of Watsky's music is simply incredible, but this album is especially important to the both of us. Watsky is amazing and certainly deserves more credit.

Maybe it's just because of my current situation and I haven't listened to the song in a minute, but... that hit me a lot harder than expected. Thank you.

After listening since the shakespeare ERB, I think this has to be Watsky's best work for sure.

You released this album during a hard time in my life. I'm not going to get into detail, but it was fucked, and thank you so much George.

I'm so glad that I had Watsky to listen to through out jr. high and high school, it got me through a lot of shit through out the years and sparked my interest in poetry. The fact he's still putting out so much amazing content to this day just puts the biggest smile on my face.
