Excellent information and very informative. The why is just important as the how.

I don't know if I agree or disagree with this. What I do know is, no matter how strong you become your grip will give out first. When the weight becomes heavy enough, you will become stuck because of your grip and not your strength. Thus, I feel that a thinner grip is better, esp. if you have smaller hands.

Awesome looking dumbells. Love the idea of having rotating handles for some things. Not sure I'd love it for presses but haven't tried them so who knows. Bet that set costs a pretty penny.

Ben's set in the video is over 40,000 British Pounds

We have the same stuff in a gym where I train but they are technogym but they have rubber on the outside which is better and safer if you put them on you knees or on the floor .

35mm to 50mm is a big jump. If you guys had them in 42mm revolving I would probably own a few sets regardless of the price

those dumbbells are crazy expensive...4k £ for a 10 to 30 kg set...
@WatsonGym7 жыл бұрын
They may well appear expensive until you buy cheaper dumbbells and have to replace after a years use, then ours actually become incredible value. The fact we sell as many as we do would suggest they fulfil a need in the market very well.

+WatsonGym Complete nonsense. The guy is right, your products are ridiculously overpriced. Also your public relations are dreadful. Trust me i've experienced them.

I mean collegiate gyms, top level powerlifting gyms and WSM winners all buy them 🤷♂️

They’re premium dumbbells. If cost is a problem just buy something cheaper but it won’t be as good quality.

how much does 150 kg weight in lbs?

330.7
@JamesPhillipsOfficial3 жыл бұрын
No one presses that kind of weight, that dumbell 330lbs is just a strength tester to lift off the floor.

Over £220,000 for 10kg to 150kg in 2kg increments. The Millionaires Gym
@WatsonGym3 жыл бұрын
Hi James, Not sure where you got that price from but a 10-150kg set in 2kg increments would be £113,000 not 'over £220k'. Obviously this isn't cheap but the raw stainless steel billets make up almost 70% of that cost before even being machined.
@iamzebra70253 жыл бұрын
😂 Just get quality barbell and plates + rack. The dumbells don’t need to be rotating and idiotically expensive unless of course you use +40/50kg (which most never touch) and/or you really really want them… go hex and you’ll be fine… 😅

I have much cheaper dumbbells that I bought at a local store that have lasted me over 20 years and they still look new. And yes I have used them every day 4 to 5 days a week. So I never understood why people promote the idea of some dumbbells lasting longer than others. His second point was a wider grip, really? Ok if it makes that much of a difference wrap a towel around the grips. These dumbbells are too expensive. Just being real.
@WatsonGym4 жыл бұрын
Try putting your dumbbells in a commercial gym with 5k members dropping them 24 hours a day and see how long they last.

@@WatsonGym I'm not a gym. But I have been apart of gyms that have had dumbbells around for years as well.

You’re comparing a Ferrari to a Toyota. Yes they both get the same job done but one just does it with more class.

No home gym you have to buy in bulk, also KG is confusing as opposed to lbs.

We do supply to home gyms. We have kitted out thousands over the last 20 years. We also manufacture dumbbells in both KG and LBS.

This is all BS. Buy some fat grips and put it around the handles. Save your money. These are overpriced gimmick bs. I have bargain basement dumbbells. I dropped them a million times with zero issues
@ronnysterling76946 жыл бұрын
Going to call horseshit on this one, grip balance strength needs to be developed, it’s not an obstacle erased by gimmicks.
@realityandnaturepill5 жыл бұрын
+ a 50 mm handle is almost as big as a Fat grip (57 mm). This does not carry-over even the slightest bit to barbell training, since a typical barbell grip is 28 mm. Rotational handles are only an advantage in explosive rotational movements such as the clean or snatch...which you don't do with dumbbells obviously. This is the reason weightlifting bars have a much greater spin than powerlifting bars or rack bars...but you never weightlift with dumbbells.
