I live in a 2 storey house and spend the majority of my time upstairs at the opposite end of the house so it’s super helpful to get a notification when packages are delivered or someone arrives at my house because often I wouldn’t even hear someone knocking on the door. Also have a smart front door lock so I can let them in without walking to the door too, makes life much easier when my kids get gone from school and can access the house without carrying a key

If you have existing regular doorbell with power coming to it ,(2wires) a smart door bell is easy to install.If no power you can use a battery operated camera which serves the functions of Smart door bell is much better. It is important to see which door bell or camera will serve your needs without a paid subscription.

I have got the Blink Video Doorbell and it works great. This was the best deal I have been able to find for camera sets. I was looking for a doorbell along with matching cameras for my backyard and these were perfect. The other reason we chose this one is that if we decided not to hard wire it, it takes batteries that just need to be replaced about once a year and some others like the Ring camera you have to charge like every 2 weeks. No thanks. We hard wired it, so it’s not an issue, but that was something that was good to know.

I think very worth it if you have doorbell power. You can get motion notifications when you're Amazon packages get delivered and have video if anyone takes them before you get them.

You can talk to people at the door from the Nest Hello. That has come in handy several times. In one instance my friends were all going to the movies. Most of us were already there having drinks when one of the stragglers showed up at my house and rang the doorbell. I got the notification on my phone, hit the talk button and told him we were already at the theater

So my mother and I have been really needing a good doorbell camera. But, there are so many different kinds with different specs and some are better quality than others. Of course there will be good and bad reviews about every brand or product in general,so if anyone has any recommendations on a doorbell camera that is wireless and able to just mount (charging and batteries is no issue of). Spec wise, good video quality obviously and good with far range we live on a really busy street and our walkway is a little longer the least laggy and good night vision. Also decent enough to detect human activity or hey, I mean alien activity to I guess if we’re being real lol jk instead of anything passing. It’s the first door bell camera we will have so I don’t know much at all and the videos I’ve watched reviews of multiple brands have all been different and there’s so many us. Thank you ahead of time. Please let me know what you guys personally think the best affordable Choice is and why.
