I searched "foundry" on KZbin and this video appeared on the first page. Kudos to Waupaca Foundry for making a great video.

I just submitted my application to the Tell City location..I my life never has working in a foundry ever came to mind..but wow! This is the first time I have seen and heard the commitment this company has to it's product and the faith of their employees. I hope I get the chance to experience this first hand..and do my part to make sure these products drive out any possible competitors and increase market share above and beyond their current market share. ..

I never made it past one year LOL in fact I even forgot that I wrote this comment. But in the time that I did spend there I was adamant on not making it a career.

I've been CNC machining in Lake mills WI for 20 years, and Waupaca produces the most quality, and consistent casts I have ever worked with. You can tell they care about what they send out.

Are you still looking for people to hire at your ironwood mi location? I really would love a job in this field of work after finding out my dad recently passing away that i never knew was a blacksmith. This is the only thing in our area that has anything to do with metal working so i would be very grateful to work for you. I want to learn as much as possible about foundry work and blacksmithing.

Astonishing that there are still ferrous foundries operating in the United States at this time. Metallurgical engineering is now considered a derelict, obsolete field of study. It has been displaced to countries like India and China and replaced by Materials Science & Engineering which focuses on advanced materials that are mostly non-metallic. For those companies that still require metallurgical engineers in the future they may have to hire people from overseas.

@@AdamMann3D Good for him, not a common career move for most foundry men but at least he is still connected to the industry. I completely gave up on it in the 1980s and immigrated to Canada.
