Another cover comin' atcha! This time I've teamed up with my friend, the incredible guitarist Jabo, to bring you a cover of "Southern Island" from the iconic Nintendo 64 title "Wave Race 64".
We originally made this track for the Dwelling of Duels, a monthly video game cover competition, and decided to make a video to go along with the track!

This is one of the best Wave Race 64 covers I've ever heard. The solos are awesome and the new riffs and transitions add so much more depth to the song, and yet it manages to stay true to the orginal in overall feel and execution. Amazing job!!!!

Hey, guitarist here, I would consider Vai to be "instrumental rock". A lot of offshoots of that type of music could fall under progressive rock/metal and fusion.
