This is an amazing video! I've had my MS20 mini for months now and it came with all these weird yellow cables. To be honest, watching this video I'm still none the wiser what you're actually doing with them but by Christ I'm going to copy it! Maybe one day I'll learn to use the thing properly...

FYI the FM version of this will not work in Legacy MS20 VST as either the lowpass filter peak is unstable or white noise is unstable. You will be adjusting the values every 6 beats to get the sweet spot back. Reason to buy the hardware version :-)

I dont own an Ms 20 nonetheless very very useful. I shall try this out on my homemade synth and hopefully get better results :-)

All but the bass is ms20. Sounds are from the ms20mini drum library. Free download from wave alchemy.

Yes and no, there's more than one way to skin a cat. The engineers at roland back in the day were creating drum patches on modular rigs using similar techniques.

why am i not getting that low bump when bring in the hipass settings?

ive been looking up answers, and cant find anything. I thought maybe my highpass filter was faulty but it works fine in other aspects, the peak does it job when i want to make something extra bassy but when im following you right at 0:41 when you bring in the low bass for the snare all i get is high white noise sounds with 0 thump ive tried everything and our settings are exactly the same. Any clue?
