Rather than probability it would be nice to have pan and note repeat or ratchet and even pitch. That would make this very user friendly and similar to how Elektron sequencers work. I’m loving a lot of what I’m seeing and could see this becoming the best DAW available if there able to group in all the features we all want from other DAWs so we can have all the best features in one place.

Amazing update guys and the videos are great. 1 thing that I'm sure you are aware of (KVR mostly ), but it's causing a lot of users to back off regarding upgrading and that is the pricing seems to make it mandatory to have the 'Daw Essentials Collection' included. Maybe someone should explain what is going on either in a Video or as a response in the KVR forums. I know that the official release hasn't been officially published yet, but people are getting impatient guys :)

@@repasiv No all key functions are included , I mean that the most affordable version is packaging extra plugins. The 'Daw Essentials Collection' is a set of VST plugins that can be bought separately also. Some people already have this set of plugins, so they feel like they were paying for it again.

No change? The midi roll is almost at fl studio level now since this update now we have strum folds and all the other stuff. How is this not an update? It's a great update. My one caveat or question to the tracktion team is what is the romper plugin for? Only a handful of sounds and you'd think those could just be used in the multisampler plugin? Maybe I miss something but it's a great update. Just hope it's gonna be stable on Linux for my non Windows laptop

I have just purchased 12 pro, how can I turn on the bar visible markers for all my tracks I can't find the option anywhere. it is Clear to see on all the tracks in the video. its a small thing but its unnerving me to use it without seeing my bar lines on all my tracks... help !!

I don't want to be rude, please don't be offended. Why is Waveform better than any other DAW on the market? What is my advantage when switching from Live, Bitwig, REAPER, Cubase or Studio One? I honestly just don't know it and I'm curious.

Almost all these features already exist in other DAWs. This 'claim' is just a marketing push. Stick with what you're comfortable with. I use Bitwig and it's the best for me after trying all the others out.

Great DAW. It's the first DAW I ever tried out and I keep coming back to it. I love that I can now purchase what I need and save money on features that I may not ever use. But how do you set the playhead to remember it's position by default like it does in other DAWs?

Bottom Left of the screen. Click the three lines, or bring up the menu and click "Options". Then enable "Return to Start on Stop".

11.5 was a free update so it's not really expensive.

looks really nice and you also seem to support Linux, but the problem is that Ubuntu and Debian-based distros are not the only one type of distribution. Nowadays a lot of people use Fedora Linux or Arch (I personally use Fedora for my job and I can say that this is a great one) so it worth investing a little more in making RPM packages as well to cover wider audiences.

Waveform already runs seamlessly on Arch and derivatives via the AUR, and I have gotten help from Tracktion Support to resolve problems that came up while using Manjaro. Fedora with Alien should be fine.

Here is my question that I`m have since last year. → I want to know where the 1-2 step / command function is, like other DAW`s to duplicating audio clips / MIDI notes, as example of 30 pieces with distance between.. Example, first bar = first audio clip → second + third bar = empty → fourth bar = second audio clip → fifth + sixth = empty → and so forth. Do you know what I mean? In Waveform all techniques I`ve found to duplicating audio clips / MIDI notes are copy the clip, and paste it rightafter the original clip, without distance between. That`s very frustrating. I have search in all your video tutorials + videos from "@AudioTechTV" (Zane) and others + read the manual + searched in the DAW settings, I`ve found nothing. If you already own Waveform 11, this is not an update or a discounted upgrade. You have to re-buy Waveform. Most of my major plugins fail to work in Waveform and now Id have to buy Waveform AGAIN just to test it. NO. I dont want the trial version. Maybe in 5 more years, Ill buy it. FL Studio has lifetime upgrades and it sucks at a lot of things, but because of their business model and the fact that it can be used as a plugin in other DAWs, I use it once and a while. For me, this is a dagger that hurts. Im really done with waveform [5 Months later]... Maybe they should go to a subscription model to get funding for R&D. Looks like they are enroute to being great

Ya know I seen that waveform 12 was out, at the same time Traction was emailing me stating my tracktion cash is about it to expire. Opened download manager, no joy. It's a paid update I thought, So I went to find out the upgrade path and pricing honestly expecting to be charged something (Tracktion team has been working their assess off) saw $99 at the tag. Backed out. 49.99 was a instabuy, 99 is something I gotta think about and plan for if so.

I wish i liked this but didn’t get a vibe at all. Browser seems to take forever with my sample library. Piano roll was a bit clunky and the swing wasn’t a real time control, the window was annoying. You can’t just right click a track and insert a sampler? Also the sampler was a bit weak, no upward enveloped or pitch envelopes? Dunno, I spent about 3 or 4 hours on the demo today and felt like it was not a good workflow at all. I’ve used DAW’s a long time, over 20 years.
