Great informative vid. I just happen to get my Zojirushi bread machine at a family estate sale for $5 brand new still in the box with the plastic on, I suspect someone got it as a gift and just never used it then when they priced it they didn't realize that it was a top-of-the-line beadmaker. mine is white and probably an older model because the buttons are a little different and the basket doesn't have handles. I found your channel because I was getting lopsided loaves, you mention the paddles need to be in the same direction so I will make sure I do that when I make the next loaf.

When I bought mine, I had some flour and made my first few loaves out of it. They were good, but when I finished that I had some nice organic flour that I picked up from Costco. I was surprised at how much difference it made. Both were good, but the Costco flour makes silky smooth looking bread that comes out looking like a commercial loaf. I am going to be experimenting more to find differences and hopefully find a favorite.

When you held the bread slice to the camera after taking a bite, I actually leaned in! OMG that looks great. And I can see how you developed baking chops from using the machine - from the first time, where you mixed all the dry ingredients to this time, where you dropped the sugar and salt on the edges and but butter bits on the long sides. I'm learning from your experiences and will be comfortable to start baking (I have yeast!) as soon as the machine arrives. Did you ever make white bread substituting a cup of flour for flax seeds (Nana suggested that on this page)? I have an open bag of flax seeds in the fridge that I have to use - I'm open to it so I wonder if you have played with using seeds, etc. in the recipes. Darnell, thanks for the tip about the bread slicing guide - I ordered one from Amazon last night that has 1/3", 3/8" and 1/2" (for French toast) slice guides.

@WaveOvenRecipes4 жыл бұрын
I am not sure about replacing the milk flour. But if you don't use any milk flour the loaf won't be as soft. King Arthur flours work great. King Arthur bread flour or any other brand of bread flour works all the same. I used to use King Arthur till I started buying flour in bulk, which saves a bundle. All purpose flour will produce a loaf, but it won't be as "chewy".
