My Virtuoso arrived from you folks yesterday. I started my first loaf and hope for the best, although I only selected the course, and added the ingredients, and hit start. nothing more. I hope I'm smart enough to figure out how to program the thing further at a later time.

Konnichiwa! Arigato for this great video. Just one thing....Zojirushi is a Japanese word. The 'J' is pronounced like the 'J' in Jerusalem or Jerry not like the 'J' in Spanish (which is more of an English 'H'). If you'd like to know how to pronounce it, there's a Japanese guy here on YT that says the name in his video. His YT channel name is "all day i eat like a shark" (crazy name, huh?).

Thank you! I struggled with the manual instructions and seeing this done in a video was much easier to understand. Used mine tonight in home made mode for the first time making a sourdough loaf, but didn't have it set as a complete cycle; I just used it to knead twice, then had a hard time figuring out how to get it to just bake....I see now that I have to do the entire process. My loaf was a success though and next time I will set it up! I have one question tho - I don't keep mine plugged in at the kitchen - will I lose all my memory settings if I unplug and put it away in my storage spot?

Hello. Please see this link to the Zojirushi site for help. Choose the bread maker that you have, and the user manual will be available. Hope this helps. www.zojirushi.com/support/manuals_breadmakers.html

Is it possible let the machine make enough dough for two (2) lofts and when it gets to the "bake" portion, pull the finished loft prior to baking out of the unit and split in half to bake in two separate loaf pans in you oven? This is if you want to make several lofts for freezer storage at one time but use the machine for all the hard work. Love your channel and it got started to want to make my own healthy bread.

This machine is capable of a 2 lb loaf, so splitting it after it mixes and before its last rise would easily give 2 x 1 lb loafs.

Hi. I got a used zohirushi plus bread machine and listened to Ashley’s video for setting dough cycle and I did what she said to do for memory 2 and doubled checked it but when I pushed start the time popped up for an hour later instead of 35 minutes. Do u know what went wrong?

Can this machine make bread with the sourdough starter, or it only makes the sourdough starter?

I made a loaf just tonight with my own sourdough starter on the home made mode - It took from 10am to 11pm to include enough rising time@@BreadBeckers

I am curious why there is only a 15 min rise time on the suggested dough cycle? Do you then take it out and let it double in size or do you shape buns etc…straight out of the machine?
@BreadBeckers4 ай бұрын
Are you referring to the presets from Zojirushi? If so, Sue has suggested rise times for programming the Homemade setting. These settings can be found in the red Recipe Collection and The Essential Home-Ground Flour Book.
@fritzj88 ай бұрын
Do you know how long the rest, kneading, rising, and baking cycles are? The books that came with my bread machine only indicated when it will beep to add extra ingredients. I have tried to contact the company on several occasions but to date they have not responded. Therefore, I really appreciate your assistance.

Both the Recipe Collection Cookbook and The Essential Home-Ground Flour Cookbook show the recommended settings for the bread machine. Those settings can be adjusted according to your needs and area in which you live. Humidity and dry air will make a difference in the 2nd rise times, but the other settings may remain the same. Those settings are as follows: Preheat 18 minutes Knead 20 minutes Rise 1 45 minutes Rise 2 20-50 minutes (This will vary depending on your kitchen's temperature, etc. Start at 50 minutes. If the bread falls, continue to reduce this time until the bread no longer falls when baked.) Rise 3 off Bake 36 minutes Keep Warm off

If I didn't want a punch down would I just do one long rise then bake?
@BreadBeckers2 жыл бұрын
Only allowing the bread rise once will make it more dense and less flavorful. The second rise also helps develop a lighter and fluffier texture.

I just baked a GF loaf in this and the finished product needed about 10 minutes more of baking time. I couldn't figure out how to add time once the cycle was done- ended up placing it in my oven at 350F for 10 minutes. Is there a way to do this?
@BreadBeckers Жыл бұрын
You could have quickly set a new cycle with only a 10 minute bake time. For future bakes , you can add additional minutes to the program so that the loaf will bake longer. Otherwise, for that particular loaf, finishing it in the oven may have been your best call. When first starting out, it can sometime be trial-and-error, as the bake and rise times seem to slightly differ for different homes and environments. Thanks for asking.

So, you just put all of the ingredients in and it does all of the work?

Yep! That's pretty much how it works! It takes less than 5 minutes to put all of the ingredients in the pan and hit start. Come back a few hours later and you'll have freshly baked bread!
