Ok, I admit, I really love hearing Miku on her acoustic guitar while Kanami keeps her electric PRS. They sound excellent together, seriously.
@Marcus_C51 Жыл бұрын
Oh man--totally agree with you on this! I remember Miku's Zemaitis acoustic sound blowing me away during the Christmas acoustic set along with Kanami's luscious Yairi. The Pigeon's playing and vocals on "Sayonakidori" with Akane and Misa Misa really impressed me, she is playing so well now! The combination of Kanami's PRS and her acoustic really is lovely! I'm sure they will come back to it from time to time for our delight-love these ladies!
@davidk4170 Жыл бұрын
There may not be any Miku on the actual recording, other than vocals, usually Kanami plays all the guitar parts in the studio, using Miku's kit where necessary, then Miku will learn her parts by ear for the live performances. Miku works on the lyrics. For this song it might depend on when they recorded it as it was played live a month or so ago and Miku knew her parts then. If it was recorded after then it may actually be Miku.
@RahimRahmat Жыл бұрын
@@davidk4170 Actually, I heard that changed ever since the Unleash EP, but I'm not sure how confirmed that info is. (Heck I can't even remember where I heard that from). Nevertheless, it is true that it's more efficient for Kanami to do the studio recording. Still, remember that they had already performed this at TGT earlier this year, so Miku definitely already knows her parts. I won't be surprised if either of them did her part really.
@davidk4170 Жыл бұрын
@@RahimRahmat I heard that about the time of Unleash too I've not heard anything different since but, although its probably quicker for Kanami to record all the guitars, as there are usually more than 2, it may be that Miku records some parts now. If not it is not down to a lack of ability on Miku's part, she is a better than decent rhythm guitarist and an important part of their live sound (just check their last rockstars support set when her amp blew to hear how much she contributes ) I don't know how they work in the studio but it could be that Miku usually works on the lyrics during the recording sessions. I've no idea if that is so or not. As for "memorable" it may depend on when it was recorded. If it was recorded after Tokyo Gardens then it is likely to be Miku on acoustic. One thing I personally did think on first listen was that it had a bit of a "live" vibe to it, especially bass and drums, so it could be that the base track was recorded live in the studio which would include Miku. Again just a guess based on a feeling I got when listening to it, Ialthough I would imagine that wouldn't be the typical way they record.
@davidk4170 Жыл бұрын
@@RahimRahmat Ultimately it doesn't really matter who played on the recording but I think Miku is an integrable part of their live sound that it would be cool if she was also included on the recordings as well. I personally haven't seen any information about the recording of memorable so i don't know if it was recorded before or after Tokyo Gardens. For all I know It may have been recorded over multiple sessions. I have friends who recorded backing and vocals, not only at different sessions but also at different studios. Then there's also mixing etc to do. All of which takes time. Just because a song was played before it was released doesn't mean it was recorded after it was played. The recording may have already been done pre Tokyo Gardens. I don't know. Doesn't really matter but having played in bands and having friends who've done some pretty big sessions i am always interested in how different people manage the recording process. Just to throw another wood on the fire, maybe Miko is the only one in the video because the others were in the studio at the time. :) :0 :) Like I said ultimately it doesn't matter who played on it, it's a good song, not one of my favourites, yet, with a fantastic tribute to their audience. It just bugs me that as I an in the UK I cannot claim to have contributed to the bands emotions after the US tour. :) Maybe one day soon they'll write a special song for those of us over the other side of the pond!

The impact of Covid19 was much more serious in Japan than in US; Maids had to cancel all live concerts that should have been a chance of great development for them. I have deep respect to them because they kept their minds positive during the hard time. Now, the song "memorable" would be their straight feelings evoked form fans during the US tour. I think this is a love song to us from them who have pure soul. I love them.

Wow, I loved this in the Tokyo Garden show and it's so nice to hear this well produced version--absolutely gorgeous. So this was filmed in Joshua Tree during the US tour I suppose? You are so right Wave, the cinematography in this video is out and out luscious! And a documentary of the tour is in the works? Misa surprisingly reserved during the solo-ha ha! Yes, the additional background vocals are really special too! I love that they always have that special and unique Band-Maid "treatment" on everything they do, the solo section being an example. "Memorable" is an aptly named song, it most definitely is! You're right, what other band has done so many "love to fans" songs? Ahhhhh...sigh.....❤

I knew it wasn't for me from when I first heard it during the liveset. It's a little too simple and poppy for me, but I'm sure I will find at least some cool parts over time. At least, that's what happened with most of the other ballads by them. But as it stand now, it's one of my least favourite ballads by them and there are only a couple of those that I really like. I prefer my "beauty" in music to come from other things than lyrics (which I generally ignore, especially on first couple of listens) and I'm usually not a fan of overly "sweet" sounding music (or other media), so that's probably not helping. Still a well-done track, just not for me. I did pre-order their live Blu-ray though, really curious about the documentary even though it's probably going to be tough without subtitles.
