We don't deserve this band....but here they are telling us that we do and they love us for it. This is, not only a beautiful song with wonderful production, but a love-letter to the fans. It could have been a letter. A post on Twitter. A short on KZbin.....no.....they went and wrote a whole song just to tell us, again (About Us) how much WE mean to THEM!
Please, watch the original video!

You know, you say that they have had an impact on your life; and I can relate so much. Last year I have been diagnosed with depression. And in my darkest days, the ones who got me fighting were Band-Maid. No words will ever be able to explain how much these women mean to me. And during the Tokyo show I cried my eyes out. I feel this song and the love of them so much

They appreciate their fans enough to immortalize it in multiple songs. They've written us three different love letters now: SMILE, ABOUT US, and now MEMORABLE. Miku, Saiki, Kanami, Akane, and MISA are five absolutely amazing humans.

You know they really mean their appreciation towards their fans. They definitely know that a slow, “simple” song will not be as well-received as an MV as their usual hard and fast ones just based on past statistics, but they go ahead to release it anyway for those the song is meant for. 😊

This is why Akane cried at the Chicago show. They love us as much as we love them. I feel blessed to have discovered them 4 years ago, and to watch them blossom both as stellar musicians, as well as 5 beautiful ladies who have such deep appreciation for their fans. In my 60+ years I have NEVER seen a band who treats fans more like a community, or extended family, and it's like we're all a part of something bigger than our individual selves... together. Everyone at the Chicago show was so happy, and new friendships were forged in the waiting lines and throughout the crowd. These girls have been life changing for so many of us. Thanks for all you and the Gaijin Guys do for helping to make them more popular, so others can discover their magic, too.

Damn dude. This is hitting me harder now watching it with you. The fact that we’re part of this one now and they value us enough to write a song about us, even beyond “About Us”. Holy crap. This community is so amazing, thanks to Bandmaid and the awesome people they attract to their community. This was all so beautifully said. It’s an honor and pleasure to know you man. I’m grateful we get to talk about this together every week. Thanks Bandmaid. 🥲😭

I hadn't seen this video when it came out, I just saw it now and I was also very emotional seeing how it impacted you. I met BAND-MAID 3 years ago and my love grew by watching both your videos and other people's. I thought it was amazing when you created Gaijin Guys, because I already liked the videos of reactions that you made separately and seeing the four of you together was a really cool thing. I'm from Brazil and I might never get to see one of their shows, even though they're my favorite band. But watching you talk about it, going to the shows, being moved by all of this, makes my heart warm a lot. This fan community is incredible and seeing how songs impact people in such unique ways is something very special. The best band with the best fans for sure. Hugs and lots of love from Brazil to all of you who share the same love I do for this amazing band

Thank you, Ryan. BAND-MAID is a once in a lifetime experience. Their talent as musicians, their foresight in respecting a song first, their ability to write and arrange amazing compositions and, just as important (at least for me), their beautiful personalities have made my life and love of music elevate above my previous expectations. BAND-MAID, thank you for never forgetting your loyal followers.

When a rock band is formed out of humble, egoless, hard-working, talentful human beings, you can reach this state of wonder that Band-Maind incarnates. They redefine what Rock should have always been: a pure feeling which can be either soft or brutal, without any need for faking a rebelious posture.

Perfection. That's how I describe this song and this band. Very few bands have even one album that I consider perfect. Far fewer have more than one. The Beatles from Rubber Soul through Abbey Road. Queensryche from Rage for Order through Promised Land. Black Sabbath's Heaven and Hell and Mob Rules. And then there's Band-Maid. Every time, pure perfection. Every song in their discography belongs there. To remove any of them would diminish the whole. This is the best band I've been fortunate enough to discover and will probably remain the best ever, at least in my lifetime.

This song will be appreciated differently by Band-Maid fans compared to by those new to the band. On the surface this feels like a very well-written love song. Only Band-Maid fans know _who_ this love song is addressed to, and truly understand _why_ they wanted to write this. Yet, with every new song this band writes they make everyone who hears it a bit of a better person; these ladies are inspirational and they matter. And here with this more popular sounding song they show us yet another one of their songwriting talents that we all knew existed. No surprise; they knock it out of the park as per usual.

MISA!!!! MISA!!! MISA!!!! 🥃🥃🥃I have never seen a band that appreciates and loves their fans as much as we appreciate and love them. Most bands start out that way but as the success grows for a few bands their attention is pulled away from their fan base. Band-Maid has never lost sight of that. I've been listening to Rock music since the early 70's and thought my flavor of music was gone forever the last 30 years. Then I discovered the MV "Real Existence" on YT in 2016 and my ears have been in bliss ever since and I have a few new friends because of our Maids. Most of my friends don't get it. Thanks, Ryan, you summed it up. I just remembered (and hunted down) a line in a Barks interview last December, where Kanami said: "It had been such a long time that I felt as if I was going abroad for the first time. Like “Are there really our masters and princesses (fans) in the US?” Then I actually went there and got a sense of relief like “Ah, I’m relieved, they are really there!” (laughs) I kind of got a lot of inspirations throughout the tour." Yeah, I'd say you did! And the fact that they'd write something back to fans all over the world in gratitude is more than we deserve.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 I can't figure out how they found the time-frame to film this in the dreary desert during their busy US-tour. Miku, that strategist, must have hidden a drone in one of her guitar cases 😄. And camera crew, too 🤣 Year they are good at moving us to tears. (I am 67-yo grumpy Japanese! Normally, too old to be moved by the girls' song, but why 😢) According to Uta-Net info, the lyrics by "Miku Kobato - Saiki". You know there is a flow in an actual concert : high and low, hot and cool, excitement and calmness. At Tokyo Garden Theater on Jan.9, "Memorable" was premiered after "About Us" you mentioned . These two songs soothed the audience emotion (I was there 😍) ... and then boom!! "Manners" 😲.

Sir Ryan, that was one of the most beautiful and touching reaction videos I have had the pleasure of watching since a while. I can sign every single word you said about the impact Band-Maid has on many fans - myself included. I know it sounds a bit cheap to parrot, but you absolutely nailed it with your comment. I've been following this band for 9 years now and I still can't get enough of these wonderful artists and personalities. Since 9 years on permanent rotation, it's kind of crazy. The 5 ladies have come such a long way, never giving up and staying connected in a touching way as a B-M family and with their fans, it's heartwarming. Band-Maid has enriched my life musically but also emotionally, I never thought a band could do this. The songwriting quality, versatility and musicality is off the charts and the emotions this band transports from exuberant joy to melancholy hits my heart and brings my nerves in invigorating vibration. The only thing I could blame them for is - na, not really - that this 5 ladies have set a standard in the rock genre as a whole package, not too many bands can stand next to. I guess I could survive musically in the rock genre with the B-M catalog alone 🙂 Thanks for this wonderful, authentic and sincere review.

They say you can't judge a book by it's cover, and band Maid is a perfect example of this. So many people dismiss this band immediately because of their aesthetic. They think they are just a "gimmick" or a "girl band", and man are they missing out on something special. Band Maid is a once in a lifetime band. And I'm not talking as a Rock, metal, progressive, J-rock, or pop-punk band, just as a BAND regardless of genre. These 5 musicians are capable of doing anything they want, and always seem to do it to perfection. How many bands in your lifetime have you know of that could do that? Moreover, how many have been brave enough to actually do it? On top of all of this when the 5 are together performing on stage they have a "synergy* or "IT" factor that simply can't be explained. Band Maid simply checks off every box there is from musicianship to grounded humility and everything in between. They are just SPECIAL!! Fifty years ago people scoffed and dismissed me because I was a RUSH fan, yet today their music is more appreciated that ever by those same people. So for those today who scoff and dismiss me when I tell them Band Maid is one of the best bands ever...well fifty years from now I will be smiling down on you from the "After life". 🎶🎸🥁🎸🎶🔥🙂🕊

Before the US tour Saiki didn't believe that people would show up to the shows and thought everyone had probably forgotten about them. That is why the lyrics hit so hard for me. This song hits the heart in so many ways. Thank you Band-Maid. I've never heard of a band until B-M, that writes love songs to their fans. They are truly special. The lyrics are absolutely beautiful, wow Miku and Saiki. To have been apart of this, sending them on their way from Chicago, is Memorable on it's own. But to hear them express their gratitude in such a way really shows us how truly wonderful they are. And yes, someone is cutting onions in the kitchen right now. Edit: (I wonder what the person in the truck was thinking; a japanese maid standing in the middle of the desert with a guitar.) ぽ

Everything you've said to this is spot on on every level. I was hooked from their very first video( Thrill) and I've definitely felt every emotion imaginable listening to them and watching them. Band Maid is one of the Most Phenomenal Bands I've heard since Pink Floyd. That's just from my own experience. I guess what I'm saying Ryan is that feel the same way as you. Hi Ryan. Let's just say, I am over 60 yrs old and I have been around a long time. Sure, I have had my share of musical journeys, but I NEVER felt emotions this band has made me feel. I won't be able to see them live. Yes, that is very hard for me, but I appreciate you and listening to your reactions of their music. It almost seems like you are talking directly to me. The really sad thing is, I can't get anyone in my universe to even give them a listen and THAT makes me cry. I'm on this journey by myself.

There's a level of sincerity and skill in everything they do that is basically unmatched, so when they make ballads like this, it's instant waterworks outta me, so I'm glad I'm not the only one.😉 They make music that is too beautiful not to evoke intense emotions. I feel you brother, I’ve seen the video about 15 times now, 12 of which were reaction videos. It would seem that my emotional response gets more and more intense with each successive time I’ve watched it and heard Saiki belt out those sweet beautiful lyrics along with that haunting composition. Your reaction to this beautiful song was wonderful, and it was a pleasure to hear somebody react to the song who actually understood what it was about. (unlike most of the other reactors) It is a beautiful feeling, to know that “WE”, as fans who attend their shows, and support their musical endeavors and platforms with so much passion and joy are all part of this amazing symbiotic relationship with these five lovely, charming & talented ladies.

@@weilima9316 Yeah, I was a little bummed about that. I loved Conqueror, and I love the band's versatility to make masterclass mid-tempo songs. I think the majority of fans - even the ones that venture out of the heavy metal zone for some Band-Maid - probably prefer the band to make the music that it wants to make, even if it might fall outside of personal taste. But there always seem to be a very vocal few who are no fun at all.

They write songs that get all of the Madiacs ( especially) The Masters ugly crying. I sure did especially when she sang "You wove me".🥲 I have been a huge fan of multiple bands, in numerous genres, but I have never fallen this hard for any other band. Maybe it's because, they are close to my daughter's age, and especially my niece that I raised who passed away 5 years ago. I guess that I feel protective of them. Also because I love multiple genres of music, it seems like their music contains all of the genres that I love the most in their music. Ok, I need to gush some more. Unlike many other bands they actually act like they really like each and really enjoy playing with each other. I have always loved the official live video of freedom when Miku and Kanami are pumping their fists, clapping, and cheering for Akane during her drum solo. I have never seen another drummer move people to tears because of the amazing joy that Akane expresses during her solo. These ladies are my favorite superheroes. I love all of their superpowers and their origin stories.

I think for me, and along the lines of what you were saying, Band-Maid has helped me avoid hard times by bringing so much happiness into my life. They did really get me to be more open to Japanese music and now over half of what I listen to is from Japan. Life changing stuff. I know I am not super active in the community, but they all seem pretty cool. And even though I was a fan when About Us came out, this one hits different after seeing them in Dallas. And maybe I'll see you at the Nemophila show there.

Miku in the wilderness.....as someone pointed out...she finds a piano...The piano being Kanami!....because she is not playing the guitar...she is carrying it like she did in the early creation of BAND-MAID..as she coudn't play....Kanami taught her to play..and brought her in from her wildnerness...So it might be a subtle "Thank You" to Kanami...As I believe Kanami wrote the track during the US tour and Miku and Saiki put lyrics to it once Kanami showed them her composition....We know Kanami gave it her all during the tour as she was not feeling well at times (certain health issues) and was exhausted...But she battled on for the band....She is a SUPERSTAR!!!🥰...They all are....No band like them!.....Long May They Reign!👑
