Yoyoka + Li-Sa-X - More please
@popozz3 жыл бұрын
YOYOKA said in a comment on her birthday live that "This song was really so difficult". This is one of the few songs that she emphasizes how difficult it is to play. Lisa-X has been educated in guitar along with her little brother since she was very young. She is rumored to be a daughter of a famous professional musician. Kouichi Terasawa is a professional musician who has participated in the production of many famous professional musicians' albums. He is also a music school teacher.

The Lisa X band also features Hazuki from Nemophila. Trying to tie all channel’s favorite bands together.

"Li-Sa-X, what an amazing guitarist!" might be the understatement of the year. When she toured with Polyphia (!) she used to switch between Scott and Tim's solo parts. After their first rehearsal Tim Henson said she played stuff he wouldn't even consider trying to play and that she probably is the best guitarist he has ever played with. I believe she was 12 at the time... A few years later he again said the same thing in an interview where he was asked to name a few of his favourite guitarists. Marty Friedman has also named her on a list of favourite Japanese guitarists. From what I've understood she has worked as a session musician in studio for years and plays on a LOT of albums. Kind of like Senri did when she was a kid.

@@stevenhoeltzel500 That video was the first I saw with her. My mind was completely blown! They were together in a video a couple of months ago again. If my extremely limited Japanese is correct he asked her to teach her how to play the Dream Theatre thing she played there. kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4atlXqNatyWiLc

Just imagine if Lisa-X and Yoyoka form an actual band (with other kid musicians of course). They could tour the world, and many people would pay good money to be in that concert, just to watch these phenomenon. I know I would.

Agree! Having Yoyoka and Li-Sa-X together in their own band has been my dream prediction. It could happen. They are the perfect fit to start their own band, and obviously friends, and there is enough other talent to create an awesome band! You might now this, but Li-Sa-X already has her own band (Li-sa-X BAND), but I'm not sure it is gelling that well or fully formed yet. It would if Yoyoka was part of it. Those two young ladies are equally awesome talents, as you know. If you haven't watched her in this video she is so cute. "Rock and Roll Guitarist Li-Sa-X! @Best Little Big Shots" kzbin.info/www/bejne/imWXn3yfrcqbhcU My favorite part is at 1:06 when she says "Yeeessss", and she always plays an original song and shreds it up.

I hope Gev Delano will join the band. He is one year younger than YOYOKA and will definitely become a world class bassist in the future. There are some genius piano or keyboard kids, but they tend to go more Classical music than Rock, so I can't say anything at this point...

I must have seen the earlier version of these artists covering the great Satriani. If you know this song as well as I do you could notice some "deviations" from the original (you can't really call them flaws ;) . Artists will change up an original to make it their own ... but to do it and make it sound natural is difficult. Bravo!

Of course all of us following your channel know about Yoyoka. But Lisa X may be less familiar, so here is some background (including mention of one of the videos you just reacted to): The word “prodigy” gets thrown around way too much. In this case, it is fully deserved. Lisa-X has been posting music on youtube since she was seven, did credible covers of Dream Theater and Polyphia at 10, and has had her own band since she was 13. The main regulars are Rina on vocals and Hazuki, formerly of Disqualia and now one of the twin shredders in Nemophila. Lisa-X is 16 as of this writing. Here are some links worth checking out. The first one is her 2017 appearance at the annual female rock festival organized by Show-Ya-she is up there with some of the best guitarists in the world and they clearly love sharing the stage with her. The third one is her collaboration with the even younger drum phenom, Yoyoka Soma, who is herself a force of nature. At NaonのYaon (age 12): kzbin.info/www/bejne/npPIiGqPqstgl5I With Hazuki: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o3_CoH-nidCUbK8 With Yoyoka: kzbin.info/www/bejne/eGqaeX6unJl2rc0 With Billy Sheehan (!) on bass: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hqvWoqCkesZrb8U Overall, rock is not only in good hands, but arguably has been taken over by Japanese women. The future looks great!

@@glenkelley6799 Saki is almost always at Naon Yaon, and MC's the guitar girls session. The bassist, and the guitarist with the flying V are formerly from Cyntia, one of the pioneering metal girl groups. And the drummer is Murata Tamu from Nemophila and several other groups.
