If you want to see another fun moment where Miyako is actually goofing around look up the live version of the song Spellbound. It's a fun one!

She also seemed to be having a ball when performing live in the UK with Dragonforce - the song Farming Simulator I believe. She eas bopping about, pirouettes and all smiles. She probably is a bit introverted and shy but I sometimes wonder if a lot of it is a persona adopted for Lovebites to contrast with Midori's extrovert persona. Anyway I seem susceptible to slightly geeky, shy musical geniuses i.e. Miyako and Kanami. 2 of my fovurite top 3 guitarists

@@michaelthain4488 I don't think it's a persona for Lovebites, if you watch the 3 farming simulator videos on youtube, you will see that even if she is dancing around smiling, and laughing, as soon as she starts her solo's, she looks just as concentrated as usual, and as soon as she delivers the solo to the next player, she dances, and smiles again. I think that as soon as she is actively playing an instrument, her concentration is just on the music, and her instrument.

Thnaks Wave. I absolutely love this song. It may be my favourite of theirs. I have seen this video so many times. Miyako is one of the greatest unknown talents of our time. It's truly unfortunate that western society does not know her on the level the fans do. She could be recognized as one of the best ever!

Spot on Wave. I think Fami has brought the same new breath of fresh air that Angie brought to Gacharic Spin. Best part is - she is already Great, and she is just starting out with ANY band, let alone the Masters with Lovebites. Words can't express how stoked I am to see how she progresses and grows as a musician. Of course not NEARLY as stoked as I am for a possible Lovebites US Tour!! I don't really like living in Houston, but it does have it's advantages if you love to go to big concerts. In fact, I am seeing Nemophila at the Scout Bar (holds about 4-500) up close and personal on the 14th! Glad you are re-discovering Lovebites Wave. I'll be here watching. Reactors feeding the Hype makes a US Tour more likely, so THANKS.

The most insane thing about Miyako is that she grab the guitar only 10 years ago....the level of music prodigy is mesmerizing. Guitar, Piano, Bass, drums, chello, violin...no problem for "the golden touch"

I can picture Asami and Miyako playing some Jazz bar together. A chance for each to really shine away from LB madness. Miyako is always thinking about the next composition in her head. Blending various metal influences and classical flavors is her speciality. However, it takes a very talented group like LB to be able to play them as flawlessly especially LIVE. This proves these women can play anything they want and play it better LIVE than most bands could even dream of. Great reaction as always. As my friends say it is criminal that this much talent is in one band and as for Miyako it is likewise insane that anyone has this much talent. Yet unlike many with far less talented imposters she isn't screaming in your face how great she is, no her music just melts your face!!!

"Empty Daydream" (Live in Tokyo 2019) is by Sergei Rachmaninoff (Rachmaninov) "Moments Musicaux Op.16 No4" is incorporated into the intro. Miyako added to the prelude at Live in 2019. There are several other songs that Miyako composed inspired by classical music, such as the fusion of metal and classical music incorporated in the intro. The "Empty Daydream" song has the feel of Michael Jackson's "Beat It". The song was performed at the time by JENNIFER BATTEN, one of Miyako's top 5 favorite guitar heroes. I was of the same opinion as you until I listened to the following, which was pointed out in other reaction content on LOVEBITES. Released in 1979. Reo Speedwagon "Back On The Road Again"(KZbin channel "JoseCotdino" However, in the case of LOVEBITES "Empty Daydream," as Miyako later stated, the composition was influenced by Michael Jackson's "Beat It (released in 1982)" performed by JENNIFER BATTEN. Your reactions are very good and I hope you will continue to LOVEBITES.

Enjoying your discovery of their back catalogue, and your enthusiasm for their many talents. This was my favourite Lovebites song, as one of the first ones I saw. Trouble is, there have been literally dozens of new favourites since then! Miyako truly is a prodigy, I'd say a once in a generation talent. Who knew she did harmony vocals as well? Whilst the reserved Miyako is part of her stage persona (perhaps as an intentional counterpoint to Midori), she is quite bubbly and animated at times - check out some of the livestream clips from the Judgement Day premiere, with all the ladies on screen. This is Wicked Witch, I can't wait to see them play this live. Wait for the bridge section for some Miyako compositional magic. kzbin.info/www/bejne/jXPbi3hqf5lji9k

I remember from a previous interview (in 2018 i think) when discussing for the new album, every members put out 1 or 2 song of their written, so did Miyako even she already got 10 songs in her keep, she said. Meaning to respect others. Asami said if they request 1-2 songs in urgent, just ask to Miyako, she just give em, just like that. She's a genius. 🤘👍

She plays a lot more than piano and guitar, does a lot of mix work in her home studio and also IIRC has a pretty massive reptile collection, along with being a big Star Wars fan. I don't know how she finds time to do any of it, let alone so well.

Midori went to the special Shredder classes at the Japanese Music Institute. Miyako taught herself out of book! (along with jamming around for years with other guitarists). For my money Midori Tatematsu is the Best technical shredder in Metal today - if you consider solo writing/creativity (I do). She and Mi-Ya are close friends and room together when they tour. Makes sense Miyako would pick her brain to make their duets sound even better.

also this is the song Alan and Frank from Dicodec need to listen to to finally give Haruna's drumming dome frikking respect. Most of the stuff they've heard the song calls for 1000bpm drumming, you ain't gonna get too many drummers putting intricate fills at that rate (and I'd challenge Frank to so some), but when the songs breathe a littke? Pocket Nuke has some great fills and accents.

Thanks, though I still can't understand how you guys managed to more or less "ignore" Lovebites for so long. And it's not just the new album, they already were THAT good from the get go in 2016. Considering composing, technicality and overall musicality. So it's definitely about time 😉

So all of them write songs. According to them they would bring 5 songs each and then vote which ones to make into an album. Also, for Asami’s birthday a few years ago, Miyako joined her for a guest spot. Asami was actually singing with other instrumentalists.

This song is one of my top 5 by them. I totally hear some Beat It by MJ in there, and a bit of Dream Theatre too., probably another or two that I can't place also. The Rachmaninov piano intro is just great as well. The group vocals part is just *chefs kiss*. I think It's Miyako that sings above Asami a few times even. This song really seems to be one that Miyako really gets into.

This song is a direct rip off of back on the road again by REO Speedwagon
@boyzyu
@boyzyu Жыл бұрын
No it's not. One of Miyako's guitar influences is Jennifer Batten, one of Michael Jackson's lead guitarists. The opening and closing riff is Miyako paying homage to Batten and that riff you hear is derived from Michael Jackson's Beat It. I'm familiar with Back on the Road Again, and other than those riffs / motifs, that song sounds nothing like Empty Daydream. Perhaps it's REO Speedwagon that ripped off Michael Jackson ?
@ChadTheDragonLord

@@ChadTheDragonLord Ah, fair enough, should have checked who released which song first. I think EVH composed the guitar solo in the middle of beat It (in the music video where the 2 gangs met), not sure if he had anything to do with the main riff. Anyway, the point is Miyako didn't "rip off" or sampled REO Speedwagon for that riff.
