Waves Creative Access - breaking the deal?

This week, Waves unexpectedly switched from offering perpetual licenses for their plugins to a subscription-only model. I don't have a problem with that going forward, but they have decided not to offer an upgrade path for existing perpetual licenses, meaning I can't rely on the $2,000 worth of plugins I have bought having a long-term future. In this video, I share my response to this.

I agree. Even if they stop selling perpetual licenses they should continue to offer WUP on what we've bought. I never would have imagined they would go this far.

lets not forget that lots of waves plug ins were much more expensive in the past, if you have spent thousands of dollars on waves, you can now only have the same deal as anyone who has never bought anything

By moving overnight to a subs-only deal, Waves have open-crapped on their entire customer base. There are some unfortunate suckers who will just have to bite the bullet at some point. To them I say, "Bend over ladies !!" But there are others who are not so wedded to Waves and will be able to just flush those clunky, look-alike/sound-alike emulations down the crapper when the time comes. Sound engineers have moved-on. The likes of Fabfilter, iZotope and many others know that engineers are not so insecure that they must have that SSL or API emulation anymore. That was just an industry-wide hand-holding exercise in the transition from hardware to DAW production. That time has now passed and unfortunately for Waves, their plugin design phylosophy has not responded to that need to change, Farewell to the dinosaur that is Waves.

I had some plugins which were not installed.I payed for them in the past.Today I wanted to install them.They are mine.And I don't have them any more.Waves has stolen my plugins I have payed them for.My plugins are not on my plugins list.WTF?Do you understand that they steal plugins from people who payed for it to them in the past.Gangsta in the day light.I wanted to be a part of mas low sue .Any lawyer out here?
