Regarding the inputs of the stagebox beeing on the front: This is done since the stageboxes can also be used in a live application, where the setup has to be torn down and rebuilt every day, possibly even several times. In the live industry time = money and therefore fast build and teardown times are demanded by most companies, meaning that having the outputs of the stagebox on the front actually offers an advantage worth investing into. That is also why your stagebox was manufactured in this way. Just my two cents coming from someone with a liveshow oriented background.

Yeah hmmm, but those boxes sold also for studio usage :) They should change the design, with modular AC inputs on front and back. Otherwise, I 'am SOOO happy with this monster setup!

I hope you do a video where you discuss the final factor that pushed you to sound grid beyond the avb. This content is seriously great. Thanks

Yepp we have a plan to release a video, and summarize everything. The system is just too cool :) I have a full SSL console front of Me! Or Abbey Road… or API.... Now I´m looking for a passive cooled industrial mini pc to finalize the mixer console. Be patient, I have a lot of work in My primary job place.

Nice video. Will be interesting to see how you actually use the LV1 in a studio environment I am seriously considering upgrading pretty soon. How many channels are available on the soundgrid network? And supposing you use only the STG 24/12rack, do you still get access to the maximum channel count to route tracks from your DAW to the LV1?
@BMRStudio5 жыл бұрын
I have 2 piece of STG 24 and one Digigrid IOC. From and to the DAW I set 32 channel. the LV1 is a 128 Ch monster mixer (or 64 stereo) on 96K 24bit. We can make a new Live event to show You the whole system and the future plans. At the moment everything is hooked up and all the channels are operating as a huge SSL console, with Abbey Road master bus. This is My favorite setup for tracking and do new beats or songs. Check out My last video, You can hear one song. Betongue. Casio CZ1, DX7, JP 10, Virus KC, MV8800, TC FIREWORKS, everything recorded and mastered on the LV1

It is really good news that it has 64 stereo channels. However I read that it is either 64 mono or stereo. That means I get the 128 channels only when running all channels in stereo. This is not an issues for me though, because 64 stereo is more than enough for me. I will be going for a demo session at a Waves dealership, to see and experience things for myself. I would like to know: are you using the extreme server v3? If you are, how quiet is it? Can I record vocals in the same room where my server is located?

@@MrPelastus How about a live event on Sunday? Sept 22. Ping me back the GMT 0 time, when its good for you. We can do a walk-trough on all items. The server, is quiet, they did some custom PCB to control the fans. Only the boot time is noisy, but when the COM-link is up, the whole server became super silent.

Great videos! I'm curious. What made you decide for Soundgrid over Motu? I'm considering doing a hahahaah way smaller scale studio home and might be the way to go for me with a touchscreen. Again thanks for doing these videos! Very good! :)

Looking great, so far. I see good times ahead, material for more videos. I myself have an obsession with all sorts of cabling so I understand and you are dealing very good with that issue. The main problem is they're not selling Májas hurka here so I have to settle with Morcilla because the video makes me hungry :)
