I’ve recently got this plug-in and, for me at least, it’s made a significant positive difference on my headphone mixes. I mix at home and I find they sound much better when switching to monitors - there isn’t that jump between listening environments. The bass is better represented, the levels of reverb are better (it’s easy to over-do reverb in headphones) and the pan placements are much easier to judge. The headphone EQ is a worthy alternative to Sonarworks if Waves have your model. I don’t bother with head tracking but I do use the slider to check the mix at different listening positions. It’s staying in my Studio One listen bus for good because it works!

I was the same way. I'm in Nashville as well. I've been in Studio A as well years ago and dont remember what it sounds like in there. Unfortunately I had to put my JBL's up because of space. But I have gotten use to mmy ATH M50x. With that being said, I actually really enjoy using this plugin. I actually feel like i'm not in this small room anymore.

actually, it is studio B, it is said in the manual, they put the image of studio A because it is gorgeous but the mesurements were made in studio B :)

Man I thought you was trolling me until I went and read the manual. They put it in fine print too. That's some bullshit lol

@@TheAudioCzar 😄 I don’t troll. I buyed it, and sometimes I read the manual from start to end, when there’s not to many pages ;)

I always read the manual, but this was in fine print though. Wish I would of caught that because that definitely needs to be mentioned, but it's still a cool plugin regardless

Could you imagine if you can click on the different EQ's, Compressors, Delays, Reverbs...etc on the racks and use them on your mix.

😂. There is a service where you can send your tracks to gear in studios and have the that signal come back into your daw. Can't remember the name of the service. But basically robotic arms move the gear. You control it from the daw

@@TheAudioCzar Yeah, I remember something like that but forgot the name too. When I looked into it at the time I don't think it made sense to me and I forgot about it...lol

I keep seeing people say once you've mixed with the pluggin you have to disbale it, why is that?... I'm new😁 to mixing with nx products.
@TheAudioCzar
@TheAudioCzar 3 жыл бұрын
Because the plugin is made to alter the sound of headphones, not speakers. So leaving it on will have a affect on your mix it you bounce it with the plugin on

Thanks Bro, it’s on sale and I was considering. I’m up late and my monitors and sub cause a disturbance, so I find myself mixing in headphones and adjusting in monitors.

According to Devin Townsend , famous metal guitarist and tech guy.. he says with the bluetooth head tracking device you almost forget you are wearing headphones.. he mastered/mixed an entire album of his using the original NX, i just ordered it and the Nashville and Abbey road, may as well enjoy myself during these weird times. let the music take us away

Thank you, Czar. You are just the resource I was looking for. I can't find a sweet spot in my mixes...always trial and error so I'm always looking for a fix. I mix on 5 different headphones and Mackie HR8s but still can't find what I'm looking for although I know it is in the raw tracks because I stumble across it from time to time. There are so many variables...room acoustics, etc. My biggest deterrent, I believe is a slight loss of high-frequency hearing due to decades of music over-indulgence! Thanks for your insight! This is not a high-risk investment so here I go again!

I use Ozone, and when I place it before the NX Nashville the output clips like crazy. To me it doesn't make sense to put ozone after the NX Nashville though on the master insert. Anyone have thoughts on how to get this to work?
@TheAudioCzar
@TheAudioCzar 3 жыл бұрын
Yeh just lower the level on the NX so it's not clipping anymore.
@JansleyMusic

@@TheAudioCzar Just tried it, and it works to an extent, but it's a lot quieter than if I just had Ozone enabled and Ocean Way disabled. Weird

This goes right before your limiter..... keeping it active once you mix into it is a good idea especially if you're going to take that mix later and run it through your hardware and master it normally
@johnisrael5183
@johnisrael5183 2 жыл бұрын
This is a pre-mastering tool, I'm going to keep it on on my export out if I mix into it and get a certain sound why would you take that sound and that vibe off of it? Does it make any sense, since you've mixed into it and it's supposed to be at the very end of your mix bus but right before your limiter and meter you have to keep it on there
