Hey Matt, great video. Is your super rack scene available? Or could you do a video on how to set up custom channels and bus routing in superrack.

Nice video, really interesting to see your processing chains! Fyi, Waves Superrack Performer (the one that does the Processing on your Mac instead of a dedicated Server) now also allows any VST3 Plugin to be added to the chain. It has some weird quirks and is not as rock solid as the dedicated server, but its what I use since we don't really have other options at our church due to budget constraints. I used to go through Mainstage, but thats even more quirky and unstable. Also, Antares AutoTune adds 2.3 ms of latency unless you use the Access version, which is too stripped down for most applications. However, I do use AutoTune Pro, since I prefer its sound and controls. Luckily, the added latency hasn't been an issue yet.

Yeah performer really isn’t bad at all. Especially with the new LiveBox, I’m sure that will be a great option for a ton of people. Yeah the extra latency is a good thing to point out especially if you’re running IEM from FoH. You’d definitely need to run a seperate channel for IEMs so they don’t hear that latency. I used to use mainstage for a flex fx bus when I did audio for youth. I had a distortion, verbs, weird delays and stuff all on one bus that I controlled with a midi controller.

@@MattDoesAudio Since our console doesn't allow for inserts (Yamaha TF5 via USB) we have to go back in through separate channels anyway. Busses are the only thing I have missed so far with SuperRack Performer after moving away from MainStage.

Love this! Any tips for a church Tech Director wanting to bring his M32+Dante setup into the waves ecosystem without breaking the bank? Would it be smart to wait for Livebox to start shipping and go with that?

Honestly superrack performer might be just fine for what you need. It’s only $100 and can run any VST3 plugin.

Great video! Is it only on digico consoles that waves reflects the selected channel?
@MattDoesAudio6 ай бұрын
I’m pretty sure that’s accurate. I’m not 100% confident that dLive can’t do something similar though, but I’m not super familiar with that ecosystem.

great walkthrough! in case something goes wrong with the waves stuff during a service, does Digico let you set up some sort of scene/snapshot that can bypass all of the waves processing? we run a waves server rig alongside our Allen & Heath dLive console, and at the moment, I don't think there' s away to set up a scene that automatically bypasses those insert points unfortunately.

Yes! This would be achieved via a console macro. You can program macros to carry out a bunch of different commands. Ie. turn off inserts; activate built in processing.

Not sure if this is helpful but this looks like it could be a work around for what you’re describing. Not as clean as digico but I had something similar setup on my old pro 2. I’m not super familiar with A&H unfortunately. Let me know if this video helps!
Yo! Love this video. Any chance you’d make your show file available?

Can you make a video making the network connection?

If I have some free time soon I’ll do that. Is there something specific that you’re interested in? Soundgrid is pretty much plug and play if you’ve just got a little unmanaged switch.
