Why is there no 22-15mm reducing elbow?

Hi. I am fitting HEP20 to a new kitchen and require the fitting of non return valves I cannot find any instructions to fit the valve, I understand the arrow points in the direction of the water flow into the valve. I do not understand the use of the screw cap on the top of the valve. could you please advise? I have also seen a series of videos on the Hep2o sanitary value instead of using a P bend under the sink or shower. The videos were for the fitting on an RV but could the sanitary valve be used in normal house fitments?
