Of all of those tenants advertised for the Parkway Shopping Center, only the Hardee's is still there 40 years later.

That accent the "tidewater accent" you dont hear it these days much, the locals who talked this way are dead or very old including this builder they talked to

Our family came from San Diego due to Dad in the Navy and I easily picked up the Tidewater accent much to the chagrin of my NY city cousins. I still have it to this day. Also, my parents still have a house about 200 yards away from Parkway Shopping center. And yes the Hardees is the lone shop still standing.
