When you start with 45 stitches are you supposed to have one square with 5 stitches? Since 45 divided by 4 is 11.25 it’s not even for 4 stitches per square.
@shalex82 жыл бұрын
@@isbwon8169 you need to skip a chain from the loop for each new row . At the end of a row you also make an extra chain, turn ur work and skip that one u just made. so you have 45 but u skip one so 44

*READ IF YOU WANT YOUR SIDES TO SEAMLESSLY MATCH AND ALIGN* In this tutorial there is an odd number of waves which is why it won’t mirror perfectly and the pattern won’t completely match when you join the two panels together. Instead of having 11 lines/waves (6 orange and 5 blues waves) make 12 lines or any even number. So just chain 49 in the beginning instead of 45. Once you’re done both panels, lay them beside each other so that they’re the same. (ex. Blue is the first starting colour on the left.) Then just flip one panel over so that the first starting colour is orange instead! Then attach the panels together. I did this and my sides and handles lined up perfectly! :) Hope that was helpful!

@AlliNicole3 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely an adjustment from knitting to crochet
@melrose82133 жыл бұрын
I know this is obviously a subjective opinion, but crocheting is soooooo much easier than knitting. It’s also a lot more flexible / less complicated as far as yarn sizing, hook sizing, pattern adjustments, etc go. I’ve also found crocheting is less pressuring when it comes to making mistakes, as they way are easier to fix. AND, luckily, that lurking pinch of anxiety that comes with having to always make sure all those dang stitches are kept on the needle is non existent! SoOoOo long story short- id say go for it! Different stitches are incredibly easy to learn. I’ve found I can _usually_ 😬 make entire projects on the first try after watching only 1 or 2 tutorials without the need of a practice swatch :)) Good luck and let us know how it goes if you decide to try it!!!! 🤍🤍🤍

@sophiek3623 жыл бұрын
@@vickyli4451 Sure, I hope this helps! C1=color you made starting chain with, C2=color you added next. I'm reading from right to left on the front side of a finished panel, not the direction that I actually crocheted each row. To get the idea of how I kept track, Row 13 looks the same as R7 when done (start w/ 2 hdc C1, alternate every 4, end w/ 2 hdc C1). R14 = R6 (start w/ 3 hdc C2, alternate, end w/ 1 hdc C2). R15 = R5 (start w/ 1 hdc C2, alternate, end w/ 3 hdc C2). R16 = R4 (start w/ 4 hdc C1, alternate, end w/ 4 hdc C2). R17=R5, R18=R6, R19=R7, R20=R8, R21=R9, etc. I chained 49, so it helped to make sure that every row added up to 48 hdc and the number of hdcs in each color should always be multiples of 4.
