💙 Hi there, the dimensions are: 27 inches in width from end to end of the branch and 24 inches in height from the top of the branch to the end of the rope. Yes you can use 3 ply rope as long as it’s a soft flexible cotton but I find 3 ply is more stiff and more difficult to work with. I encourage you to experiment though if you have some on hand. If it doesn’t work out you can always untie it and save it for another project 😊 Hope that helps ya 💙
