Oh my goodness I just made a video this week saying wax on wax off in my new encaustic series. Suddenly KZbin recommended you so I subscribed. I'm sure we're not the only ones that say wax on wax off but it was too funny . ❤

I have a question.. doesn’t have to do with what your saying.. but I used some tpye of paper not sure what is is like a type of packing paper what I was doing was using it as paper underneath when I was creating my art canvas and the design became so cool that I cut it and I put it to an under painting in encaustic cradle board didn’t stay/ stick so I went and got a plain cradleboard and I didn’t put any wax on it underneath and it did it here by putting some of the wax on top but the side started lifting up and I put some PVC glue underneath and that’s not working so I’m really at a loss of why it’s not sticking the paint underneath was some Tim Holtz distress, gray and some Indian ink. I can’t imagine that the distress spray paint is the reason it’s not sticking I don’t know what else to do if I pull it off, there’s a glue I think the board is just trashed unless I can take a torch and try and make a scene. I don’t know could you give me a suggestion please

If your packing paper has any kind of slick plastic on it, that could be problematic. If it's more like brown craft paper, there really shouldn't be an issue. What kind of paint or materials are on the packing paper? Perhaps that could be the problem. If you find the edges lifting when using encaustic paint to adhere your paper, warm your sides gently until soft, but not molten and use an awl shaped tool to push the edges down. Then fuse gently to "heal" the hole from the awl. The last suggestion I would make is to try using E6000 Industrial Strength Adhesive.
