Could the blend function be used to run a drive in parallel? My thought was if I threw a drive in front of this fuzz,I could have a good midrange drive as a main tone and then the fuzz running alongside of it for that heavy/sustaining fuzz thing. This way I’d be able to have the heavy fuzz tone but maintain clarity and definition while chording. Oh, and for guitar not bass! Any input would be helpful!

It wouldn't run the drive and fuzz signals in a truly parallel fashion. The "clean blend" knob would basically blend in your midrange drive sound from the OD pedal you have in front of the Pork and Pickle, but the Fuzz signal would be a fuzzed up version of your midrange drive tone not a Fuzzy version of your clean tone. Depending on the drive pedal you would be using before this pedal you could still get some great results running it that way but since the Fuzz signal would be the sound of an overdrive going INTO a Fuzz you might get some extra noise and hiss since you're stacking gain pedals at that point. However, it might sound great! You might just need to dial back the Fuzz settings a little bit since the OD pedal will be pushing it harder than a clean tone. Basically your mileage may vary with this type of setup. I've tried the same idea with a few different pedals with varying results (some drives and fuzzes stack together better than others) but in the end I purchased the "Signal Blender" from Old Blood Noise Endeavors. It's a parallel switcher that let's you run two effects chains side by side in parallel instead of feeding into each other in series. Plus it also has a footswitchable clean blend for even more definition if you need it. I use it to run a medium overdrive in effects loop A and a Big Muff style fuzz in Loop B, this gives me the clear attack and definition of the OD but the gnarly sustain of the fuzz without the two signals feeding into each other at all. Hope that helps!
