Temps icon is just under the mini map why I'm not sure it should be with the rest but the game play I've seen it's attached to the bottom of the mini map

The reason they close the old map I feel like it's because the server wont be able to handle the full map with the lag we already have.

I could see that being a concern. I wonder if having this smaller map will help with everything. The lag is my number one concern for their longevity.

i wonder if it were possible they couldve instead just done like a sort of teleportation thing or ship to old map as a bridge between two maps they could maybe also play it off as a loading screen but idk im no game dev lol

No, the reason is because its a completely different scenario that takes place in an adjacent area of the map.

The DX12 leak has been known by them for a long time. Back when season 1 ended, and season 1.5 had just started, players were reinstalling the game to fix the lag issues. They had to have known about this for months. They havent addressed it officially because i doubt they know howto fix it. They even said they're doing a patch on Oct 17 to assist in fixing the issue, and a follow up patch later. I think they're just buying themselves more time when the oct 17th only "partially fixed the issue" tbh

I'll give a chance on the 17th, i think they were talking about lag for those issues.. the DX issue was the back packets which they are going to create an auto fix for it sounded like.

personally im not so sure i like that eternaland blueprints can be built in "real world" cause what i love about eternaland building is that it doesnt have/follow laws of physics I WANT ANDLOVE THAT, i wanna make spaceships in my eternaland if they were to make eternaland blueprints buildable in real world i fear they might fix what i love abt eternaland building unless ofc they find a middle ground best of worlds then im all for it

You can turn that feature on and off in your eternal land. Im guessing it will need to be off for you to be able to save the pattern to use.

Previous map areas being closed is a bit of letdown but i guess because its been a while already and many people already played through the original set of areas up to 3 times now so moving to putting the focus fully on the new areas this time

me personally id only like going back to old map if this winter map has specific silos that give off specific keyword features that old map wont be having yknow? otherwise, i dont see much a reason why id wanna go back to old map driving all the way to winter to do missions while my base is at old map is too much work and expensive if we're gonna teleport

I think what they did was spread the available mods out over fewer silos and monoliths. So if you are hunting for a specific mod it may be harder to get.

So again the devs confirming that the best option for pve players who didn’t want to do pvp was to jump to another hard server. I know you did and I did as well with both my characters, jumped to phase 3 servers and it’s been great. Raking in the starchrom so my builds are highly powered up and I’ll have plenty to get any of the new stuff if I want it. W for the devs, and kinda don’t feel sorry for the people who were so doubtful that they didn’t believe the posts about the leave early feature.

Yeah, I figured if its in the patch notes it probably likely they were going to release. Devs don't give dates unless they are 100%.

Now in game if u report someone and they take action on said person u get a in game mail msg with a msg saying so and so u reported has been dealt with so not sure we're they are going with that one

I get the mail but the person stands there still so idk what kind of action is taken

@dokutah2480 when I report someone's base local it tells me they have taken action now when I report someone for exploiting or hacking the msg I get back if they caught them was they were punished I don't think there going to flat out say yeah that kid was aim bottong and we banned him for 10 years highly doubt that happens

Welp, looks like no winter for me. I'm not wasting another character slot just because they do not want people leaving the newbie servers. ((Can't delete characters, which I did not know.)) Wasted my time searching and upgrading blueprints because I was told they carry over each wipe, which is good. Done mostly everything on the server I am on now and was mainly just waiting....but if I can't transfer no point in it. No idea why they are letting use do the winter event on the server we are on if we can not transfer.

LOL It's just FOMO at this point. You don't need to be the first to play when it launches. You can still play Winter after it launches and more importantly, after you built your current character up. Rake in those starchrome, blueprints, etc.

Looking forward to the new scenario and the new weapons. Although I think the new weapons will be underwhelming. The legendary frost version only having a 10% chance to proc.

Have you seen the base damage on Silent Aby? It will not be underwhelming. Most likely it will compete with everything other than jaws/bingo. 240 Damage/750 ROF (6 stars)/192 Damage/750 ROF (0 Stars) The proc for cold tornado may be 10%, but if you built it flat damage, its base values are quite high

They said the winter scenario will not have hard mode, will we have shiny deviants or not?? And what if we want to farm the wolf deviant or something?? I lost mine moving to prismverse and i regret it so much.

They didn't seem to have any new shiney deviations and during our secret content creator dev chat it was brought up but they couldn't confirm any new ones. However, the regular ones will be there for sure. They are currently available on all the servers except Novice. I don't know how or if we will be able to get deviations from silos or bosses that aren't available. We may just have to collect the 7 new ones instead or maybe they will give us a new way to get the old ones.

It will not be available to play on. It was announced on the Dev stream and confirmed by players with Test Server access.

If youre finished your current scenario or on a Normal, Hardmode or Prismverse server you can exit early and join with your current character. Check out one of my Don't make these mistakes while transferring videos so you're ready for the 17th. It goes over the process and what you need to do to prepare.

I get why they are doing this with the map locking out the old they had so much crying from folks who played all 3 betas and even the demo they were tired of having to keep doing that content they remove it for the new scenario and guess what happens all im hearing is crying about it the devs just will not please everyone I'd hate to see some of these clowns play eft were u are completely wipped twice a year full hard reset back to square one I just don't get all the crying man not saying u are

I think lag is inevitable with player built games, I was actually surprised they put 4000 people on the server and it didn't blow up. I can't think of another similar game that can handle this so maybe it's just not in the cards for these games.. Im interested to see if they actually fix it this month like promised.

I don't think they will go that route. It's like the one thing they've been solid on. Plus people keep spending like $500 on those loot crates which is why they keep adding new ones every 2 weeks. smh
