Poorly optimized game for the Steam version. Stutters are everywhere because of shader compilations. I had 100% CPU usage before the August patch. Now, I dont have that issue but the game is still stuttery.

Agreed, hoping they fix most or atleast some of this before the faction update coming later in the month. If wars lag so bad I cant imagine the open world PVP

thank you for sharing this, there are reddit posts about this as well.. sadly, this "workaround" did not help me (and a warband friend of mine), the game is still a lag fest. also, in my eyes this workaround is fully using steam.. i got stubborn a bit and actually managed to copy a few files from steam into the loading bay installation and launch the game from loadingbay without anything on steam and got my Steam player ID displayed in the game.. but my characters would not show up. a small note, there is no official method, as of now, to migrate from steam to loadingbay (checked with the customer support). ive actually played with a fresh character using loadingbay, but its so hard to notice anything as - weirdly enough- the real mess happens on frontiers - especially AFTER a war has begun.. if anyone has any solid method to duplicate any lag that is obvious that is possible to test on a low lever character.. let me know.

for me the problem is sometimes game become lag and i notice my gpu usage went down to around 50% where it usually sits at around 95% under normal circumstances

besides some rare pop outs game been runnin smooth af since launch day on 1st scenario pve server and on new Hard server now. Fps are averagin 270, max 390, min 185fps at 1440p, max cpu usage ever was 72% and temps always between 49C-66C on a Rtx 4090, 5800x3D System and game installed on Nvme Ssd Samsung 980 Pro drive.

thats cuz u got a x3d and this game, like many other mmos love the extra cache 3D chips provide> I got a 7800x3d and 4070ti and my fps is about the same as urs however on 1080p wide

@@trvpamv753 in the meantime ppl are buyin left and right 13900k and 14900k for 90C temps and like minor improvements. Seriously 3D Vcache chips are FCKN GOLDMINES

Nothing I did allowed me to play with my character unfortunately. Even after searching for the server and selecting it, with the steam app open logged in trying both my Steam E-Mail and my linked X account my character never showed up. Its unfortunate, I would like to see if it would have made a difference. Even with the ridiculous overkill hardware in my system it is still not very well optimized but it feels like it is server issues and not graphics by any means. I ping between 32-40ms and it takes a second or two before anything I loot registers and pvp is a pain most of the time.

account access ok, however performance still shit, starts from 120fps and drops to 30 within 2 mins

Did you search for your server? You dont lose progress, you just have to search for your server. All reddit posts, Discord posts, and people I know that have done it dont lose your character. Thats not how characters are synced

Can I uninstall the game on steam after I do this? Because I now basically have the game installed twice in my computer... That's 112Gb of storage space

That I am completely unsure on as well as the people who discovered this. My assumption is that you do as it still is linked to Steam in a form when you launch it. Its upsetting if you dont have a lot of storage but we hope that this a temporary fix to a temporary problem

Didn't work for me. Even with the steam client running, when I launch through the netease loading bay launcher, my character is not there. Even clicking on my server prompts me to create a new character there. And I copied all files from the steam dir over to the official launcher install. sigh

@@xaviergaming7668 nope, but i found out that i need modified my dns to 8.8.8.8 so i can keep connected to the game server and that solved my problem. Disappearing UI and LOD caused by not being able to receive or send our data to the server. At least for me. Hope this help.

As I said personally in the video it helped with my stutters/glitching. Others have reported FPS increases and stability

Genuinely has made my game smooth as butter. I could run at 120FPS with no issue but it would still stutter/glitch pretty often, those are all gone now. Buddy of mine went from 80 to 140 frames doing this!

Nothing changs, still same as before Avg fps 120-140 open empty area. Avg 60 on blackfell w alot of truck

how do i play multiple accounts with this method? since the files are saved on the steam related folders? does it simply work by logging in with 3 email accounts, i.e. 3 emails?
