Thanks for explaining everything in depth. Just what a newbie needs.

At least now we now that they don't fall in 100 small pieces and springs flying everywhere as soon as you open them! Still got old shifters laying around that I've never been able to reassamble after opening them.

yh unfortunately the only one.. thanks though! My m8000 shifter is not able to shift 4 gears lower at once anymore but I cant find the bug :/ anyone got the same issue?
@mtbboy19937 жыл бұрын
something might be stuck in there, like dirt, I recommend taking it apart, and cleaning and lubing it.

When the shifters are new sometimes you can get tried Shimano grease, which reduces the performance, some had issues with only being able to shift 3 gears down. I have not experienced any issues with any shifter so far.

Thanks for the advice. Had a quick look into it and nothing seems loose or broken. Probably reassambling should fix it.

Too long and 0 explanations as to what he's doing or what products he's using.🤦♂️

To grease I reccomend using shimano original greas or Sram Butter, or Slick Honey.

Sorry I I made this long time ago, so did not learn to do voice overs, text animations or subtitles.

In this video I use Weldtite extreme wetlube, not the best for the job, use grease instead, as grease does not leak, I jus tused what I had this was the thickens I had, without being thick grease.

Thx for criticism. Also I might have made it bit too long.

@@mtbboy1993 was a lot of fumbling around but it was you working out how to take it apart which ultimately was very useful to me. So not perfect but still well worth doing & for me, watching. Thanks.
