when you get a chance remove your front wheels and check to see if the brake pads are rattling around loose in the caliper it may only be a small amount of movement but if the tension springs have weakened or are missing your pads will rattle when going over rough ground and the rattle will stop when you apply the brake and reappear when you release the brake. You may also notice when having traveled over rough ground for a period of time the brake pedal travel could feel slightly longer than normal. if this is what you find, replace or refit the brake pad tension springs, their job is to hold the pad close to the disc to ensure the brake pedal travel is always as short as possible and of course, stop the pads rattling. Love the channel, keep doing what you're doing.

For your rattle issue, I recommend checking your anti rattle clip, it might be corroded/broken or slipped out of place letting your brakes chatter against the pistons while its floating (i.e.no brakes applied)... if thats not it, maybe those pins you took out might be out of round (maybe from corrosion or knicked on a certain spot), if neither, upgrade the whole brake system :)
@awaara243 жыл бұрын
you have a floating design caliper, which means the pads should be able to move around freely (more as they wear out), the pads could be ever so slightly bumping around but given the crazy roads you drive on may make them louder. It will probably go away when you get a fresh set of brakes on there I reckon
