We don’t know their story: if the wife was okay with having her around after learning at the very least her friend had romantic feelings toward her husband and they’d known each other for over 20 years, then it’s possible the wife was okay with whatever transpired between them. Perhaps they had an open marriage, perhaps the three of them were involved in a polycule, which is what it sounds like frankly if she was sharing the bed with her best friend. That would also explain the short “transition” though they owe no explanation to anyone.

I feel it's more wrong to then bring her into the house when her mother's body isn't even cold "figurative speech". Clearly, the daughter has not even begun healing at the time. And as a good parent, you should give it time, even if your relationship with your deceased wife was long over. The friend at 3 months is an intruder. She also should have known better and should have taken time. Maybe half a year to a year, and if then maybe.

They never indicated the cause of death was in question: they only questioned whether it was secretly a nefarious murder plot. Looking at the daughter’s morbid obesity and that of the husband/best friend, plus the description of her being found with blood coming out her nose, it sounds like a sudden heart attack due to chronic obesity and hypertension.

Unless the mom was in on it. My aunt Peggy’s best fried always lived with my aunt and uncle. My aunt died about 10 years ago and my uncle and my aunts bf married him about 2 years later but she never moved out of the house. My cousin told me that they were in a sister wife situation since before she was born but they hide it from her as a child. She didn’t find out until her mid 30s what was actually going on. We are both in our 60s now so this happened a long time ago but to this day the don’t admit it to the family so you never know.

I’ve been an ER nurse for over 20 years, I’ve cared for 100’s of stroke victims and never once had a stroke patient have blood come from the nose. However, a head trauma is a more likely to have caused blood to come out of her nose. The autopsy would have been more conclusive as to why she had blood coming out of her nose. Her getting with the husband that quickly after even though she promised she’d take care of them is suspect.

My dad died suddenly when I was 13. Found out when I came home from school and was told not to go upstairs as my dad had collapsed. I really feel for this girl as losing a parent suddenly is not something you will ever get over. I do believe my biological mother had something to do with my dads death. He was completely healthy the night before he died. She was having an affair which I was told about a few months after my dads death and my parents were divorcing. My biological mother would have lost everything. I can’t help but think the mum may have killed herself due to the affair or they know a lot more than they are letting on. Healthy people do not die suddenly.

Even if she had nothing to do with her friend's death, it was extremely inconsiderate and selfish of her and the husband to IMMEDIATELY begin a relationship with no regard for the children and their grieving process! The children's grief and wellbeing should have been the first priority in this situation. At the very least they should have waited until a decent amount of time had passed. Perhaps then it would have been a comfort to them to see them eventually get together instead of feeling like their mother's place has been usurped.

It might just be me but if my husband who I've been with for 24 years, and have 3 daughters and 1 son and 2 grandkids with died. The last thing I'd be thinking about is finding or looking for someone else to be with, it'd be the opposite of what I was thinking. My main number 1 priority would be my kids and grandkids even if I knew someone was interested. I don't think I'd ever want to be with any one again, I couldn't handle the thought of touching someone and them touching me the way me and my husband would be with one another, I just couldn't do it. So that lie detector is 1000% accurate coz they were comfortable with each other they just picked up where they left off. Shame on them im not saying he should spend the rest of his life alone, im saying give the kids and yourself time to grieve and get used to her not being around.
