Both women were most likely abused by a male figure in their life either early on or into their teenage years. That's all they know and that's what they'll choose for the rest of their life. It's sad because her children will think that behavior is OK too. It's a neverending cycle. Steve could talk to her tell her ears fell off and say the only person that's going to make the change is you, but in reality, she's never going to, that's just how it is. That guy probably grew up seeing his father or another male "role model" abuse a female in his life and that's why he thinks it's OK. He's learned to be manipulative and to play on her emotions. It's a terrible situation all around.

This just makes me so sad… I was in an abusive relationship in the past and I can almost guarantee you that he’s constantly telling her “oh I’ll change” or promising her the world either that or she actually enjoys the chaos. It’s sick but I remember after I had left that was one of the things I missed🤢mainly because I had no one else and was always in Mom mode I think, I grew up too fast and I feel like that whole relationship just made me feel very childish. Thankfully it’s been 5 years no contact, I’m smarter now, I’m no longer under his “spell” and I’ve learned my lesson; ❤ that whole situation made me stronger too. I was in this exact situation many years ago. It's not easy. They widdle you down, piece by piece. This isn't something that happens over night. They convince you that you're worthless and they're the ONLY ONE who will "love" you. After I finally left.. the rose colored glasses were gone and I could see how horrific the situation actually was. It's one of the best decisions I've ever made for me and my child. Exactly! I lost all sympathy for her when she chose to follow that scumbag out the door at the end. She deserves everything she gets now but the children don’t. And if that wasn’t all bad enough, he’s also a sex offender…. and she has a young daughter. If you can’t make good decisions and protect your children, then they should be taken away by the authorities.

As a single father, what's really pissing me off, is that girl smirk the whole time. She's a victim of physical abuse, but she's fighting to bring this man back into her children's lives, she's up there laughing like she thinks it's funny, she's protecting this man, she's allowing this man to hit her one year old child, she is literally just as scummy as him.
