Waydi was really exhausted, but he also do this by himself in a lot of battles. Actually, a LOT of dancers are doing this and don't mind as soon as it isn't done in a disrespectful/abusive way. Why would you create drama in a peaceful place ? Waydi and Icee are friends, and I can even tell you that Icee "raised" Waydi during his start in dance, with some other people like Bouboo, Playmo etc.

Right? You already had your round. Just stand in your corner and wait. And everyone else saying people don't understand their friendship and shit, this didn't happen in any other battle. @@Myogramme Not everyone in the crowd was a 3+ year dancer. I looked at mostly everyone I could see during the battles in the crowd. And I can tell you there are very many non-dancing people there. And also how is "musicality" a wrong terminology in dance? If thats not a term then mind sharing what is the term for being completely one with the beat/hitting mostly everything from the beat? Because Im a dancer myself. And as far as I know hitting most of the beat or just being really accurate and onbeat is musicality.
@Myogramme6 жыл бұрын
@@silentlyjudgingyou5748 To answer your question, that's called musicality, which I didn't refute. You didn't understand my message. As I said, dancing isn't only "hitting on the beat", there's a lot of different concept, grooving is an exemple. You can't say someone won just because he could've hit on the beat even more than his opponent, that's a limiting belief of what define the concept of "dancing" and that's definitely not how battle are judged. Keep in mind that the fact you're a dancer does not define the richness of your knowledge about it, I've heard bunch of dancers thinking that dancing was just about musicality, and for most of them, they would get surprised when someone like Waydi lose, because "his opponent didn't hit every beats". I'm curious to see how they are practicing, lol.

I am going to be as unbiased as possible: Round1: Waydi Round2: Waydi Round3:Icee Extra round: Icee - But one thing I never ever fucked with when it comes to battles is when one dancer is dancing and the other one isn't just staying in his place and letting him do his thing. In the 2nd round Waydi was going in and he hyped up the crowd but Icee couldn't let him have his moment,when you want to vibe with other dancer you do it when he is ending his round and not in the middle of him going wild.. And even though I had Icee winning his 4th round why was he dancing in the middle of Waydis round and not even watch him,I though he would be more mature since he is a legend of hip hop and a 30+ year old man.Come on you had your time to shine,when it's not your turn just watch and respect him the way he respected you ! Again Icee won that round in my opinion but behaviour like that disgusts me ! Side note: Was anyone else surprised not seeing Waydi going in with litefeet on 10:57 ? Was expecting much more from him that round,maybe he was tired or something.
i dont think it matters at all man its a battle, the judges are watching waydi (if they even matter at this event). its realy normal not to stand stock still while ur opponent dances, even more normal to imitate and mock them while they dance, its a battle. Im more familiar with popping than hip hop but its honestly so normal waydi wont have seen anything unusual or offputting about it. If u ever battled u know people will call u out, mock ur moves or if ur sloppy, tell u theyr gna smoke u, call u out for biting. its a battle not a showcase, its not "so you think you can dance" or "americas got talent" lol. its a battle and at the end they will show respect, during the battle u battle =)also u are not obliged to watch or even look at ur opponent u can sit and drink water if u want and pay no attention during their round. im just trying to say it seems ur thinking like its a show, its a battle.

Y'all too worried. Waydi don't mind about it and do this by himself in a lot of battles. Actually, a lot of dancers do that, it's mostly tolerated as soon as it isn't abusive or in a point of huge disrespect. Oh and, WAYDI AND ICEE ARE FRIENDS.

Icee did the same thing in the finals vs Batalla..I mean this is the first time I am seeing Icee doing stuff like this. The 4th round wasn't even vibing,he was literally dancing when it was Waydis round and didn't even watch him.And not just that,he was near the middle so I couldn't even pay attention to Waydi
@Myogramme6 жыл бұрын
+Khabib Tiramisu Nurmagomedov Who won is YOUR OPINION, and regarding your way of deciding who won, I'm starting to doubt you're a dancer, so personally, I can barely take your opinion for granted. Waydi didn't watch Icee multiple times on this battle, yet you are focusing on discrediting Icee. Which kind of person are you ? For your guidance, Icee is 35 years old and is a +25 years experienced dancer. Waydi literally got raised by him when he started dancing, also with Bouboo, Playmo, some other Criminalz member, etc. I remember this period well, at Cosec Crew, as I lived in Sarcelles. Why are you trying to create problems in a peaceful place ? Your opinion about Icee being "good" "vibing" "bad" is irrelevant. Everyone is "a great dancer". As Bouboo or even Waydi would say, it's all about what you prefer.

Well that's what makes the identity of this competition, even if we can dislike it. The dancers decides, and if they can't agree, the crowd decides.

Saying a crowd deciding the winner is absurd is as absurd as saying "the president can't be elected by the population, its absurd" Its just this event rule, deal with it. Its as if saying that the fact that there's no winner in I love this dance all star game is absurd. No its not.

For those that are saying it’s friendship and icee means no disrespect. Your wrong. Icee was clearly interrupting and disrupting Waydi’s rounds and momentum. Watch closely in the 2nd round, Waydi was catching fire and as soon as the crowd starting going wild for him, Icee hopped in and tried to vibe w him when clearly the man was tryna drop some more heat, interrupted his flow and his round. Waydi was going in 🤷🏻♀️
@Konahagure6 жыл бұрын
Icee won this being consistently good throughout the three rounds without extra round. But Waydi went off in the second. There must be something about the song that resonated with him artistically because we didnt see anything close to that level in any other round by himself or Icee. The second round was definitely Waydi's.

THE GOLDEN GE ,,, in my opinion as just a hiphop lover (n as an artistic reviewer as well) ,,, generally these rounds were the real final not merely semifinal Waydi was a GIANT , ALIVE n focused , Icee the MASTER ... I don't like only to see him dancing or think what's beyond his steps n his movements .. but rather I'm LIVING HIS FEELINGS when I watch him dance .

when icee dances waydi respects him and gives him his space because it is his minute, on the other hand icee when waydi has his time interrupts him making movements and dancing at the same time, which lacks respect and little judgment on his part. also waydi has much more style when dancing many more steps generates movements at the precise moment of each song and icee is always the same, bad decision

Round 1 - Waydi Round 2 - Waydi Round 3 - Icee Extra round (Round 4) - Icee Tho I do think there was no need for extra round and Waydi won that 2-1. And even with extra round 2-2, Waydi was definitely overall the better dancer that night imo. I would even argue and possibly edge round 4 to Waydi. Dont get me wrong. Icee's groove is crazy. And his move vocabulary is unmatched. He is really fluid on the beat and does have to some extent a bit of decent musicality. But Waydi's overall energy was insane. He always had a musicality that was out of this world. But the way he was vibing to that 2nd song? Jesus... I never knew Waydi could also groove to the beat while doing his beatkills. Ofc his litefeet is crazy like always. But what got me was how well he was doing while clearly not being the crowd-favorite of the two considering that Waydi's style heavily relies on feeding off of the crowd's energy to do better. So hats off to him for that.

Rewatching this battle with fresh mind I can clearly say Icee won, even comfortably. You can't win a battle of 4 rounds by making 1 great round. If we exclude the 2nd round where Waydi clearly won, for the rest he was pretty predictable and basic. Also, he often would stand in a box doing micro-movements which are unnoticed by huge portion of the crowd. He appears very static at moments which remarks the contrast to a very dynamic dancer like Icee who uses the whole dancefloor. It seems to me like Waydi ignores some aspects of the music.
