@@derbestimmer1148 The combat is pretty dynamic - the ranged classes are a little more straight-forward, but the melee classes have a big toolkit on top of the abilities, like heavy, light, jump, slam and jump-slam attacks + blocking etc.

The 1.0 change is awesome! I played it at pre launch the game was a bit buggy and the server issues killed me but when they settled there was a lot of fun to be had. Will definitely be jumping back in more regularly

I truly hope they will continue to build on this game.. not just adding save slots and difficulty options.. we could have new areas, new dungeons, new armors and MOST importantly more wayfinders.. Ember - A Pyromancer.. Using flame attacks to damage enemies. Shiro - A monk that controls thunder. to debuff enemies and do AoE damage Cranos - A beastmaster who lays DoT traps and as ultimate can summon a Animal companion to fight with you for 10/15 seconds Jessah - A Huntress with bow and arrow with explosive shot, Double shot and concussion shot.. with a ultimate that shoots a massive golden light arrow in a straight line damaging all in its path. things like this would be amazing.. I bought a copy for myself, my wife and soon my sister that wants to join me.. I also bought the supporter pack twice!! This game needs to grow.. it is really fun how it is now with 1.0 and they could become very popular if they keep adding "expansions".

Well good news but with a grain of salt This is what I readed by others because I haven't been active in the discord 1 is that if the game becomes successful in a way, they will keep updating the game for at least 3-5 years 2 is that the game will have mod support, so it will always have content Obviously take this information with a grain a salt because I cant confirm being 100% true

@@peepoo_217 uh, I tried that, but man does that feel like a mobile game and the visuals are very inconsistent in terms of quality and art style. The setting is cool and the idea behind it is nice, but I wish they would have opted for a different model instead of mmo with seasons.

Mos support and different save slots are confirmed to come soon. And I think a hardcore mode, where you loose your Wayfinder on death, until you don´t have anymore.

Thank you. Yeah, it is a little much at the beginning, but normally you get in the groove if you follow the main story and progress your first wayfinder. Once you start upgrading weapons and Wayfinders you will see an option in the bottom right (Press F for resources) which will show you exactly where to find the resources - very useful and easy to overlook.

Picked the game up when 1.0 dropped chose Niss as a starter and leveled her up to 30 before trying another wayfinder(venomess) and was surprised how different both characters play. My only problem is the level cap, it's confusing. Wayfinders and weapons seem to cap at 30 but accessories and echoes go higher and I don't know what the limit is. Also, do boss specific echoes get a higher level version of them or is broodmother s'ilreth echo's for example stuck at level 8?

Yeah Venomness rocks once you get into her groove :-) - Char levels are 30 max and Wayfinder level (Skill Trees) for all is also 30. If you have level scaling enabled item levels go up to 34 so far...maybe even 35? But I´m not sure, because I have not maxed out my power level. Legendary weapons have their own level (38 max I think). And I agree - these different level caps are VERY confusing and completely not necessary imo.

No, the rewards are not the incentive to play on higher difficulty - that is completely optional. I like it this way, but I do understand people who would like more incentive to push into harder difficulties.

@wholesomegamer in a grind game with a difficult slider, why would anyone not turn it down to get stuff as fast as possible if there's no incentive to play on hard. Sound like everyone would just put it on easy and steamroll to get the gear. Better stuff should be hard to get

@@Trixta024 Some of us just play for the fun of it, some like a rewarding and hard earned fictional pixel medal to feel accomplishment and get their dopamine kicks - to each his own. I played on normal difficulty all the time and really liked it that way. This is no judgement, just that different people enjoy things in different ways. I respect yours and you will find plenty of games that suit what you are looking for.

They added cross-play for PC/PS5 with 1.0. Apart from that progression is stored locally or in the cloud of your service (like Steam to use your save for the Steam Deck f.e.)

I've had fun in the 40 or so hours I've played. I wish they would figure out a way to add cloud saves to the game. If they did I'd gladly buy it again on xbox when it releases. As it stands I'll just stick to it on Steam because I'm not willing to start over in a grinder like this.

There will be coming some additions like more then one save file and mods - I think once you are more familiar with the loop a second grind is not that hard, because of all the extra XP items you get along the way and the easy items-cross-use between characters.

Lots! Different weapons have different "weapon skills". There's also the talent tree, skill levels, etc

Talent tree with different specializations, gear and echoes to lean into specific stats, affinity you can spec into to activate build specific passives and every char can equip every weapon and each weapon has a unique skill.

It´s all about letting everyone play the game how they like. Some want that extra challenge, some just a relaxed experience. That said I wouldn´t mind some minor xp boosts or similar things for the "I like it hard" faction.

Nothing can be for everyone. If you play on PC you can always take your 2h free peek into the game and refund it if you don´t like it. Sometimes things work a lot different on you own screen compared to what you see on some crappy YT channel... Oh, and you can disable the camera shake! :-)

I wanted to love this game but 1.0 feels like the same dull, uninspired game it's always been to me except without other people running around. Combat is so easy and brainless that I almost feel no reason to use skills. Graphics are pretty though. Nice vid.

The game crashed,corrupted my save and lost an entire dungeon’s worth of data. I uninstalled it. Wish I could get my money back. That is what $25.00 buys you…4 hrs. Of gameplay.

It is an excellent game at a very reasonable, if not cheap price, with zero MTX or live service crap and extremely player friendly systems - like the outstanding transmog for example. I don´t know from which planet you are, but here I would call this the absolute opposite of a scam.

@@wholesomegamer oh really? and what is this?? STAY AWAY FROM THIS GAME! The company behind it (Airship Syndicate) are scam artists! They originally sold us a MMORPG. They sold us founders packages tailored specifically towards a MMORPG experience (season passes, cosmetics etc.) And now they came out with a update that they will turn the game into an offline single player game, essentially making it into a completely different product. Not only that, but the expensive packs that we bought got devalued completely. The seasonal passes no longer exist, but they told us not to worry that everyone will get all the rewards for free anyway. So we paid for premium things that we didn't actually need to pay because guess what? Everyone gets them for free. They admitted working on this for months, so they knew and planned this out months in advance. This was clearly intentional. It's one of the biggest Bait & Switch scams I ever encountered in the gaming industry. They also adamantly refuse to hand out refunds to people. Also this sets a very dangerous precedent for all Early Access games. This is illegal, at least in Europe we are protected by our consumer rights against things like this. Valve should be ashamed also for going along with this scam. Do NOT buy any products from Airship Syndicate. I repeat : Do NOT buy any products from Airship Syndicate! Report this game on the store's page. PS: Do not believe ANYONE who tries to blame only DE or AS. Truth is they are both to blame, but the biggest blame is on the devs. AS chose to do this latest bait and switch . AS lied to their community for months. AS are the ones scamming people right now. DE broke the contract with AS and AS ended up getting a hefty sum because of that from the cancellation fee. AS is trying to throw DE under the bus completely . AS also has a lot of White Knights defending the game and the mother land (AS). DE has it's blame too, but like I said, they do not have anything to do with the game anymore. Bottom line : AS - trash scammers & DE - contract breakers.

Wayfinders function similar to Warframes, but the rest of the game is much more player friendly structured. Like no artificial time gates and gated content in general to incentivize paying for it. I think it is much less bloated and way more accessible then Warframe. If you are on PC, just try your free 2h on Steam and see if you click with it.

i tried this game. Dropped it after 40mins. Wasnt vibing with it at all. You can tell at a glance just how much “phone game” DNA it has. The combat feels like it came for 2010. Not saying that their isnt a good game here if thats what your into. But its definately not for me or most people.

So the game has 4 abilities thee entirety if the game? And then sometimes you get a weapon with one ability on it?

You have 4 character abilities and every weapon has always one - so 5 active skills at any given time. Melee is also much more then just slashing...blocking with shields, jump attacks, slam attacks, jump-slam attacks...your combat kit may look simple at the beginning, but it is the epitome of "easy to play, hard to master".
