Shocked they done him like that. Didn't it seem a bit needy to bust somebody at a big ass concert? Confident huh...

God I miss Waylon. He would turn 80 this year had he not passed. I was lucky enough to have met ol' Waymore in Wheeling West Virginia many years ago- He said "Hi I'm Waylon Jennings" and stuck out his hand, I was so damned nervous I could have threaded a sewing machine with it running! I shook his hand but was too star struck to really say anything other than my name... but later I did work up the courage to approach him again and ask him to sign a tour book for me, to which he graciously obliged. I ended up framing that tour book and am looking at it right now where it has hung for many years. It is priceless to me. During my time working at the Music Hall I met a lot of famous artists that I grew up idolizing, they were larger than life to me, but one thing I can say about all of the legends of Waylon's generation was that they were so down to Earth and so approachable. Willie Nelson gave me his fishing hat and signed it for me in the 1990's, George Jones signed a ton of stuff for me and even had us to his home in the early 2000's. I tell people these things and they think I am full of shit, but luckily I have all the evidence! I wouldn't sell any of my memorabilia no matter how much I was offered. I love the music so much that meeting these people has been one of the biggest talking points of my life. I've got signed memorabilia from all the greats, Johnny Cash, Waylon, Willie, George Jones, Johnny Paycheck, June Carter, Jimmy Dean, Roy Clark, Charley Pride, Jerry Reed, Ray Price, Eddy Arnold, Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Hank Snow, Johnny Russell, Merle Haggard, Don Williams, Buck Owens, Hank Jr, Mel Tillis, Randy Travis, Tom T. Hall, Kitty Wells, Bobby Bare, Porter Wagoner, Conway Twitty, Hank Snow, Merle Kilgore, Tommy Cash, Glen Campbell, Kris Kristofferson, Roy Acuff, Little Jimmy Dickens, Charlie Daniels, Freddie Hart, Red Sovine, Ralph Emery, Bill Anderson, Tammy Wynette, Stonewall Jackson, Del Reeves, Gene Watson, Ed Bruce, Jessi Colter, Jeannie C. Riley, Webb Pierce, David Houston... you name them... in many cases I have several items signed by these people. You walk into the my little home recording studio in the basement of my home and it's like having my own little Country Music Hall of Fame. The music means the world to me, it still upsets me to think of what Nashville has done to the music. What they play these days is mass produced garbage (with some exceptions).

Yes, the majority of today's country is tripe. But then again, who would really be able to fill the shoes of those greats? Such good music.

I'd give almost anything to have met Waylon before he died. I would've loved to have a 10 minute conversation with him. I have absolutely loved Waylon since I was little and I love him more now than ever and I'm 44 years old. I play lots of his songs on my guitar and sing them just to entertain myself. I know I'll meet him in heaven along with my Dad and we can all get some pickin' lessons from Ol' Waylon!!

$1500 worth of cocaine a DAY?! I've heard of crazy stories like this before but I can't see how that's even possible. At my worst, I could maybe run through an 8 ball between 2 people. Honestly, I don't miss the powder. Once you fully accept that your chasing a high that you felt the first couple times, it makes it way less fun.

It still happens today. I didn't have to take the 9yrs the feds offered but THEY RARELY lose in trial and that would have been 30yrs! Hard to prove you didn't have part in a "conspiracy ". Especially when someone's are willing to testify to save their own ass.

All little boys want to be Cowboys I moved to Houston Texas gosh let me think it was back in 78 I think I was 23 I think I was 27 or 28 around that time I had to have surgery and the children stayed with her father and I was missing them so that he threw me out I was doing my therapy he flew me out and that's when you still got out on the tarmac when I left Atlanta it was February and oh my God it was one of those years it was like 10 degrees and when I got off that slides and February mid-February it was 85 Degrees believe it or not it was one of those days in Texas and Houston especially and I said I don't ever want to leave this place the children's father moved me out here to Houston and I have been here ever since that one place that I've ever want to go if I left you I would love to retire to Hawaii that's always been a dream of mine but getting back to the Cowboys the whole time I've been in Texas I'm now 74 I have met one real cowboy Oh my God he was quiet introverted he was so different than anyone I have ever or will ever made in my life ever again Cowboys are not what you think that they are I had met him head coming from the range but if you want to call it that been on a ride around up for like 3 months and he come into town blowing his money well us girls read like that they wanted yeah we had a good time he entertained us all he picked up the tab take us to breakfast at the kettle he was odd he wasn't right but he was a cowboy but I can honestly say I have met a real cowboy hahaha and people that live in Texas they don't get that opportunity not often you would think they would people sell thank and their minds and when some says if you come to Texas they still have the wagon days at like that they're doing the the rodeo Roundup now here in Houston because we got the rodeo and and I have had the privilege of being on that Rodeo ride that was in the mid-80s and that was that was very eventful I loved it and like to have killed me it was rough I'm not cut out for that but but I hung out the trail ride and we had a ball but I was never so glad for something be over in my life that was 85 yes I remember very well and but they somehow think is still the shoot-'em-up cowboy days you have to laugh at it cuz it's not like that and people still think of Texas then that way honestly they do..lol

That shit can hit anyone, doesn't run in my family and I have never been overweight. 6'1" 165lbs. Just woke up with it one morning. Doctor in the ER told me I had it after peeing in a cup.
