Despite being a TV personality and the driving force behind “Chasing Classic Cars”, Wayne Carini remains somewhat of an enigma to the general public. The car restorer was born in Portland, Connecticut, USA, in 1951 to Robert “Bob” Carini, the owner of a collision repair and auto restoration business. With time, Wayne went on to inherit half of the family business as a gift.
We'll try to answer to questions below in this video:
Who is Wayne Carini?
Where is Wayne Carini today?
What happened to Wayne Carini on Chasing Classic Cars?
How old is Wayne Carini?
How tall is Wayne Carini?
How rich is Wayne Carini from Chasing Classic Cars?
Where does Wayne Carini live?
Who is Wayne Carini wife today?
What is Wayne Carini ethnicity and nationality?

The reason the show has lasted so long....its lack of drama. Its simply a show about cars, no shop drama,no screaming, no throwing tools and no angry customers. its just a simple car show that actually dives into the ins and outs of locating, restoring ,showing and auctions. Ask any car guy and they will say this is the format they want.

The show is ok, Carini is stiff as a board. Bitchin rides suits me, a little humor, smoking tires, and top shelf craftsmanship, but almost any car show is good.

I don't really believe all this stuff being said. All I ever have seen out of Wayne and F40 is the finest of morals and dedication to his friends. His love for his daughter who is autistic is Godly and loving. He is an inspiration for me in his honesty and caring for others and helping people sell off family collections including Janis Joplin's Porsche which was a beautiful story. Rodger was and is a great inspiration for race car drivers and mechanic. I don't usually say this but when Wayne and Rodger are insulted I genuinely get mad. These are real men. Rodger is fine. Nobody is forgetting him. Rodger if I am wrong let me know but I love you. Wayne you too.

I concur with every comment you have made. I met Wayne at the Indian Motorcycle Day in Springfield, MA 2016. I shook hands with him and mentioned I had done a tribute Indian Scout military bike from WWII whereas he said, “ well let’s go have a look at it!” He was very complimentary and I truly enjoyed his kind works on my bike and many others we came across. A real gentleman!!

So glad to hear Roger is alive and well! When he disappeared from the show (during a Pandemic) I assumed the worst. I will now have to seek out internet content with him in it, since he's not on the major networks... yet. Wayne is a real class act and changed many of my views of the collector car hobby while opening my eyes to more than just muscle cars. When his show first aired, his integrity, compassion and approach to the business side of the hobby was shown to be a complete 180 from other dealers/mechanics. For example, that show with that guy Vernon from South Beach FL or Boyd Coddington who turned out to be a really horrible person, who's shop management seemed to break every labor law (daily) since Henry & Clyde Ford had his own employees attacked while on the "Hunger March." Wayne's show never embarrasses the sellers by airing Wayne's profit margins on the resold vehicles (if there was a profit) to the world. That's actually the opposite of what viewers who own old cars like to watch.

Well ,when Roger needed help with hospital bills,Wayne coulda helped out ,he didn,t, so fans pooled donations to help out old Roger . As well ,Wayne did not insist Roger be paid for his partisipation in the show. That,s correct ,Roger got nothing for his part in the show ,sure coulda used it ,lying in a hospital bed. Pretty sure Wayne got paid and his business got heavy promotion as well , just saying.

I watched till the end, but only because Wayne Carini was part of the title! He has the ability to go through his life without any need of the childish pig-headedness associated with some so-called "car gurus". When spending astronomical amounts of money on cars he's taken years to find, he does not play to the camera, or wave wads of money about. He is a very straightforward, honest person.

Being a fan of CCC, after seeing my wife off at the airport, I drove down to F40 to see the F40 shop in person. Wayne was away chasing a classic car, but I glimpsed Roger deep into restoring a car in the garage area (off limits). There were many interesting vehicles in the showroom and in the yard which I could freely peruse through. Some time after, I saw Wayne at Lime Rock with three of his vehicles on view, one of them being the custom built hot rod with the fin on the trunk area shown in this video.

I watched until the end! First, though many of the cars on CCC were not my cup of tea, I enjoyed the show because if you are a "Autophile", anything automotive is interesting. Second, The show was shot and produced in such a manner that it was always interesting and Roger was always good for a laugh. Lastly, as to the profitability of the cars, anyone who has ever dome a "home" restoration of any classic car will tell you, the profit margin is thin compared to the overall investment, but a professional restoration puts the finances into a different category. Though it is a business, most who undertake that business do it for the love of the machine and the sense of accomplishment in putting the vehicle back to showroom condition. I personally would rather aquire a restored vehicle from someone who loved their work and was quick to point out what they did, rather than to deal with someone bragging on the money they spent. Granted the financial aspect is high on the list, but if that is the only virtue that can be extolled, eventually the makeup will rub off and you'll see the real pig you bought.

I enjoy hearing the back ground of these guys who are about my age. My son is an engineer in the automobile industry writing code for those little boxes that have taken control away from anybody that has not spent a few years learning how they work. Not fair. He proudly boasts one great grand father worked at Ford’s Highland Park plant, famous for the model T and the five dollar day. His other great grand father spent 42 years at the “Rouge”, it’s in quotes because it’s name is The Ford Rouge Facility. Raw materials in finished cars out. The same manufacturing model that King Toyota uses and they are big enough men to give credit to old Mr Ford. Ford started its downhill trip when they stated to get away from that original philosophy. How ironic, they get their ass kicked by a team using their old game plan! Then the son moves on to his grandfather who worked at Packard for about 15 years doing logistics for cars and PT boat motors. After Packard 25 years at Ford purchasing analysis and finding summer jobs for his son, me. What did I do? I was lousy at school but lucky at finding an engineering technician job at Ford, finished my engineering degree and a total of over 20 years. I passed all the old family war stories to my son and he bit the hook for job and pass time as an amateur race car builder, designer and driver. I go the track to watch him race. It amazing the amount of skill and talent at these unsponsored, amateur races. These young men in their 20s, 30s, 40s, working near round the clock. Welders going, sparks flying, parts swapping, local auto supplies making emergency deliveries. Again amateur racing! It’s the most fun to watch. My son got a few jobs based on his lineage and after school activities. It’s a shame industry doesn’t give much attention to actual demonstrated achievements. It’s out there all over the place. They aren’t looking in the right place!
